Goldsmith, John F. McNulty, Frank Dawson, George Simpson, Douglas Robertson and Marion Regent, Secretary. Lauqhinq Water Association was represented by Attorney R. G. Terry, Jr. and Their President, Mr. Taggert. They presented a plan for a bridge to be constructed on Association property across Corey Creek to replace an old bridge which had deteriorated. A discussion was held and the Trustees concluded that the proposed bridge should have a minimum of 20' width of opening, that the bridge must be open at all times except for pedestrian access to the bay beach. ~xx~x~x~x~x~x~R~x~i~R xx~~x~x~¥ However, the Trustees will visit this location before making a decision. Application of Henry J. Smith to dredge in Cor~y Creek was held for in- vestigation since this area is affected by the p~Dposed Laughing Water Bridge. A letter was received from the Mattituck Chamber of Commerce protesting the encroachment of Lizza Asphalt Construction Company, Inc. in construct- ing a bulkhead and dock in Mat~ituck Inlet. The Trustees discussed that application and permit issued by them to the Lizza Bros. and felt that according to deeds presented to them by the Lizza Bros. that the work done was tithin the property line of the owner. The Board will investigate further before replying to the letter from the Mattituck Chamber of Commerce. A letter was received from the Southold Town Planning Board with the following resolution: ~RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Planning Board institute legal proceed- ings against William Victoria, Southold, N.Y. in conjunction with the Southold Town Board of Trustees. Mr. Victoria shall be made to remove the fill that is dumped in the creek bottom; fill it back to the high water mark and clean out the over spill in front of the adjoining prop- er~ies, as per'the discussion held on August 2, 1966 at a regular meet- ing of the Southold Town Planning Board." Letters were also received from Robert W. Tasker and Arthur H. Lundberg stating that it is apparently Mr. Victoria's position that no fill was deposited by him in Corey Creek beyond the high water mark of March 17, 1966 which was established as a result of the County dredging project. This appears to be in variance with the position of the Town Trustees and also appears that the lines shown on a map presented by Mr. Robert A. Kart, surveyor, do not coincide with the maps in possession of the Trustees. The Trustees will review these surveys on November 15, 1966. In July, 1966 the application of Charles J. and Frieda Kanka to dredge in Eugene Creek, Cutchogue, was sent to the Southold Planning Board for their recommendation and approval. On October 24, 1966 a letter of approval was received from the Planning Board. However, since the application did not state just how far into the creek Mr. Kanka would dredge and how much material_was to be excavated, the application was returned to Mr. Kanka for this information before being issued a permit for the project. page 2 Meeting of Nov. 7, 1966 Continued page 19 The following applications are to be investigated and reviewed by the Trustees on November 15, 1966: A~lication of Henry Piechinski to bulkhead and back fill in Sterling Harbor, Greenport.
