The Southold Tow~ Trustees met at the Town Clerk Office,
Southold, N~Yo on Monday, October 3, 1966, at 1:30 P.M.
Present: Alvah B. Goldsmith, John F. McNulty, Frank Dawson,
Douglas Robertson, George Simpson and Marion Regent, Secretary.
Application of Helmer Kent to place two (2) pile dolphins in
Gull Pond, East Marion, in front of his own property was
granted. Fee $1.00.
Application of Frances Bork to maintain present dock and stake
in Corey Creek, Southold, in front of her property was granted.
Fee $4.50.
Application of Robert J. Skinner, Mattituck, N.Y. to install
dock, ramp and floating dock in Mattituck,Inlet 80' x 48' was
approved. Fee $40.00.
Application of Harry F. Shaw to place a stake in Wick~am Creek,
Cutchogue, is to be investigated by Mr. Frank Dawson.
Application of Georqe F. & Edwina J. Schaedel of Mattituck,
N.Y~ to bulkhead existing basin for a length of 50' in
Mattituck Creek was investigated by Mr. Dawson and Mr. McNulty
and approved. Fee $12.50.
Application of Mr. William M. Crawford of Smith Drive North
to bulkhead 160' in Goose Creek, Southold, in front of his
own property was approved after being investigated by Alvah
Goldsmith. Fee $40.00.
Application of John G. VErity, Laughing Water, Southold, N.Y.
to place a stake in Corey Creek was approved. Fee 50¢ paid.
A letter was received by Supervisor Albertson and forwarded
to the Town Trustees in relation to Conklinq Point, Greenport,
The Health Department had instpecte~ this area in regard to
source of odors and decided the problem was not of a sanitary
nature but one of inadequate tidal flushing action. A copy of
this letter and the letter from the Supervisor were forwarded
to the Conservation Department. No action was taken by the
Trustees.
It was moved by Mr. McNulty; seconded by Mr. Dawson that the
Deed to County Road 27-27A & B - Middle Road and Extension
Map 47 be accepted by the Town Trustees from the Board of
Supervisors, County of Suffolk, New York. Vote of the Town
Trustees; Ayes- Unanimous.
Applications of J. W. Hill and Mrs. A. M. Rose of Orient, N.Y.
were forwarded to Mr. Latham to be filled out.
