HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-01/04/1977 A regular meeting o£ the Board o£ Sou~nold Town Trustees was held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jam_uary 4~ 1977, at the To~ Board meeting room, Supervisor's Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, with the following present: Aiv~h B. Goldsmith, Chairman Douglas M. Robertson Joseph Hataier Absent: George Bird Fnilip G. Horton Also present: Orville Terry, North Fork Envirou~enta! Council Paul Stou%enb~gh, North Fork Environmental Council Robert Werber, L. I. Traveler - Watchm~n Eric Corwith, Southampton Town Trustee Chairman Goldsmith called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. The matter of the application of LAWRENCE T. WAITZ for a mooring at Mud Creek, Cutchogue was postponed until the next meeting for fur+Jner study. On motion ~ade by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Hataier, it was RESOLVED that the application of AR~DREW GALGANO for a fi6~ting dock at Mattituck Creek be APPROVED subOect to the fioatLug dock being at least twenty feet from the extended property lines. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Goldsmith, Robertson, Hataier The Board would like to review the area of Narrow River Road before issuing any renewals for mooring permits. The Chairman declared the minutes of the meeting of December 6, 1976 approved as submitted, there being no objection from the members present. _,~.e next meeting of the Board of Town Trustees.will be held February 1, 1977. There will be a meeting January t~, 1977 at 10:00 a.m. at Brasby's with Joyce Burland, Cotuaty Legislator, for the purpose of discussing the plans and options for dredging waterways in the five eastern tovaas. Mr. Eric Corwith, Southampton Town Trustee, appeared before the Board to request support in their fight to regain four creeks conde~ned by Suffolk Coum~y. He asked the Board to write a letter requesting Legislator Buriand requesting discussion on the condemnation procedures after the meeting on January 12, 1977. 238 Mr. Stoutenburgh requested that some kind of program be started to keep the rainwater from going into the creeks. Motion was made by Mr. Robertson, seconded by M~.~Hataier and carried that the meeting be.adjourned. Meeting was adjourned az 8:45. Respectfully submitted,
