A regular meeting of the Board of Town Trustees was held at
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, 1977, at the Tovm Board Meeting Room,
Supervisor's Office, 16 South S~reet, Greenport, New York, with
the following present:

Philip Horton (7:45 p.m.)

Chairman Goldsmith called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m.
Hogan Bay!es application for maintenance dredging at Wunneweta
Pond, Nassau Point, Cutchogue. Mr. Hataier recommended tabling
the application~util an inspection is made by the board.
Robert Rothman application for maintenance dredging at Jockey
Creek.
On motion made by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Hataier,
it was
RESOLVED that the application of ROBERT ROTHMAN for
maintenance dreding of existing boat basin on Jockey Creek be
APPROVED.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Goldsmith, Robertson, Hataier ~
Ltuka Picinic application for floating dockin front of his
property on Goose Creek. There is another application pending
for offshore-onshore mooring. A letter is to be written to Mr.
Picinic asking him which he wants to apply for. Action will be
taken at the next meeting if the information is-obtained.
On motion made by Mr. Robertson, seconded by'Mr. Hataier,
it was
RESOLVED that the application of BENJAMIN J. KOWALSKI be
approved for an offshore-onshore stake at the end of Gagen's
Landing Road at Goose Creek, Southold.

On motion made by Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Robertson,

RESOLVED to approve the amendment of ~the application of
Harvey D. vomLehn, Permit #1194 as requested by Mr. vomLehu to
read as follows. 'Permission to erect-a wood platform 5'0"~x
5'0", an inclined ramp, and a 6'0" x 20'0" wood float in Corey
Creek off the norttderly end of own property, with five new pilings,
if required for anchorage, on the east side of Mi~uehaha Boulevard,
Southold, New York.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Goldsmith, RObertson, Hataier,
Horton.

On motion made byMr. Horton, s~conded by Mr. Robertson, it was
RESOLVED to approve the application of JOSEPH CORNACCHIA
to place a 100 lb. mushroom mooring off public property on Little
Creek in Cntchogue.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Goldsmith, Robertson, Hataier, Horton.
Mr. Bird is to be asked to check out the request of Paul Edwards to
relocate his mooring to the middle of James Creek in Mattituck as
requested by Mr. Edwards.
On motion made by Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Hataier, it was
RESOLVED to approve the application of JOHN CHAMBERS to
repair approximately 20 feet of existing bulkhead on his property
at Mattituck Creek, Mattituck.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Goldsmith, Robertson, Hataier, Horton
0n motion made by Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Hataier, it was
RESOLVED to approve the application of JOHN CHAMBERS for
maintenance dredging in front of bulkhead on his property at
Mattituck Creek, Mattituck, with the condition ~hat the excavated
material will be replaced behind the bulkhead after repairs on the
bulkhead have been completed.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Goldsmith, Robertson, Hataier, Horton
Narrow River moorings, at Orient] Mooring renewals are to be sent
out along with notification that the Board of TownTrustees has
approached the Sou~ho!d Town Board about improving the situation
at Narrow River and in the event that this comes about, they will
be advised accordingly.
There being no objection, Mr. Goldsmith declared the minutes of
the meeting of February l, 1977, approved as s~mitted.
The next meeting of the Board of Town Trustees will be held at
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, 1977.
The _o!lowlng letter was directed to be sent to Dr. Thomas Samuels,
Rambo, ing., in regard to the application o£ Bayles for maintenance
dredging ~t. WU~aeweta Pond. Members of the Board of Town Trustees
have inspected this property and are concerned as to the location
of the spoil area and also as to the condition of the existing
bulkhead as to whether or not it would support the upland if
additional'dredging were performed in front of it. It is suggested
that a meeting be aDranged to find out if any provisions are being
made for fixing the existing bulkhead. If there are any questions,
Mr. Horton is to be contacted to go down and inspect the property.
Mr. Hataier would like robe included in this meeting.
There was an objection made by Mr. Stoutenburgh that the entire
agenda was not published in the local papers. He wants tabled
actions published also.
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
