This meeting was held at the Town Hall~, Main Road, Southold, New York. Present were: PresidentPhilip G.'Horton -~ Trustee'Scott Harris Trustee John Nickles Trustee Paul Stoutenburgh Peter Campbell, Suffolk Times Justice Martin~Suter On motion made by Trustee Stoutenburgh, seconded by Trustee Harris, it was . · ~ RESOLVED to approve the application of Marino Faraguna place a floating dock inMud Creek with the condition that-the width of the width'of the dock be reduced to four feet. ~ . - Vote of~the Board:'. Ayes: Horton, Harris~ Nickles, Stoutenburgh On motion made by Trustee Nickles, seconded by Trustee Harris, it was ~ ~. Jdnnson to place a 250 lb. mushroom mooring off private property of the applicant at'Corey Creek, said permit'to be revoked if the mooring causes a problem with navigation in the area. Vote Of the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, Nickles, Stoutenburgh Mr. Johnson had contacted Mr. Nickles because of Mr. Nickles' concern with the draft of the boat because of the limited amount of water. The boat to be moored is a 32 foot sedan cruiser with a 2-1/2 foot draft. It Will bemoored on the north side of the channel and will be moored only occasionally. The scope of the mooring line will be approximately 50 feet. Hataier, has beon lost to Us through death, and 287 seconded by. Trustee WHERE&S by his passing the Town has lost an esteemed and efficient officer and the people of the Town of Southoldhave been deprived of his wise counsel and judgment and the Board of SOuthold Town Trustees has lost a faithful friend .and associate, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that theBoard of Southold Town Trustees expresses its sense of loss and its sympathy to the f~ily of Joseph G.'Hataier and that a copy of this resolution be entered in our minutes and a copy be sent to his family. Vote"Of theBoard: Ayes- Horton, Harris, Nickles, Stoutenburgh' There was discussion on the selection of someone to fill Mr. Hataier's'pl'ace on the board. 'The Town Board is accepting resumes up until February 28, 1978 and will select someone frOm.them shortly after that. Mr. John Bednoski suggested that the Board of Town Trustees review the resumes and recommend to the Town Board~the best qualified person. President Horton thought it was a good suggestion and said the Boardwo. uld consider it. .Trustee Stoutenburgh made a motion, seconded by TrUstee Harris and carried to ~pprove the minutes of the regular meeting of January 3~ 1978 and the special meeting of January The next meeting of the Board of Southold Town Trustees will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 1978. - _ The President directed the clerk to send a copy of the agenda and the minutes' to the Bay Constable each month so he is aware of the applicatiohs being made. Mr. Stoutenburgh does not feel that the trusteeshave enough guidelines to go by and requested that a committee be set up to draw up the'guidelines so there are definite things the trustees can fall back on. A lot of things are in people's minds but not spelled out. Things will get more complicated as time goes by and something more is needed than the broad statement inthe Code. There was some discussion on aerial maps that are going to be made availableto municipalities. Atpresent they can be purchased through Satellite Corporation. Motion was made by Mr. Nickles, seconded by Mr. Stoutenburgh and carried that the meeting be adjourned. Muriel Brush, Clerk
