A regular meeting of the Board of Southold Town TrUstees was
held at 7:30 p.m., November l, 1978 at the Town Hall, Main Road,
Southold, New York. Present were:
President Philip G. Horton
_Trustee Scott Harris
Trustee Ar~ua Hataier
Trnstee John N±ckles
TrusteePauLS~oU~enburgh
Trustee Hataier made a motion, seconded by Trustee Stoutenburgh
and carried toapprove the minutes of the meeting of October 3,
1978 as submitted.
On motion madeby Trustee Hataier, seconded by Trustee Harris,
it was
P~ESOLVED to approve the application of Joseph H. C. Wenk
to place~a catwalk and floating dock off private property of the
applicant with the following conditions:

The location of the dock be approximately tenfeet
east of where it is sho~ on the application.
There will be no blocking of the char~nel into the boat
basin.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, Hataier, Nickles,
Stoutenburgh
On motion made byTrustee Hataier, seconded by Trustee Harris,
it was
RESOLVED lo approve the app!icationof Peter J. Carroll to
place an onshore stake with stern anchor off private propertyat
Richmond Creek.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, Hataier,_Nickles

On motion made by Trustee Nickles, seconded by Trustee Horton,
it was
RESOLVED to table the application of Peter J~ Fireh, Jr., to
place a dock at end of right-of-way subject to a conference with
the Town.Attorney to get a legal opinion as to whether it ~would
be permissable for the Town Trustees to grant such an application.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, Hataier, Nickles,
Stoutenburgh
Mr. Kreh's attorney and M~. David Strong will submit letters
indicating their position on this matter. The letters w~lll be

referred to the ToM Attorney.
On motion made by Trustee Hataier, seconded by Trustee Harris,
it was
~RESOL~D to table the application of Guenther Stotzky for an
offshore mooring subject to a more complete application.
Vote of the-Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, Hataier, Nickles,
Stoutenburgh
On motion made by Trustee Harris, seconded by Trustee Hataier,
it was
RESOLVED to approve the application of Ralph C. Condit to
place a 150 lb. mushroommooring off private property of the
applicant at Richmond Creek.
Vote of the Board. Ayes. Horton, Harris, Hataier, Nickles,
Stoutenburgh
On motion made by Trustee Stoutenburgh, seconded by Trustee
Hataier, it was
RESOLVED to approve the application of Ralph C. Condit to -
attach a 14' x 4' ramp and 6' x 20' floatLng dock to existing
40' walkway off private property of the applicant atRic_hmond-
Creek and a letter be sent to Mr. Condit and the contractor that
-the Board is cognizant of the violation, of the dock being placed
in the creek without first obtaining the permit and that in the
future if a similar incident occurs, the board will prosecute to
the full measure of the lawi
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris~Hataier, Nickles,

Trustee Stoutenburghmade a motion to write the co~uuty and
askfor a list of dates when creeks were last dredged. Trustee
Harris seconded the motion and it was carried.
The next meeting of the Board of Town Trustees will be held
December 5, 1978. There being no further business to come before
the Board, Trustee Hataier made a motion, seconded byTrustee
Stoutenburgh and carried to ~djo~_~n the meeting. Meeting adjourned
at 9:20 p.m.
