BOARD OF SOUTHOLD TOWN TRUSTEES
Meeting of December 4, 1972
A regular meeting of the Board of Southold Town~Trus%ees was
held at 7:30 P.M., Monday, December 4, 1972 at the Town Clerk's
Office, Main Road, Southotd, NeW York~ with the fol~towing present:
Atvah B. Goldsmith, Chairman, Douglas M. Robettson, '~ '
Philip. G~. Horton, Rudolph Johnson~ and Judith T.
Boken, Secretar~
Mr. Andrew Goodale, New Suffolk, New York, attending this meeting
as an observer from the North Fork Tax Payers Association.
Moved by Mr~ Robertson, seconded by Mr~ Johhson,
WHEREAS our 'fr-iehd'-and fellow member of the Board of Southotd
Town Trustees, George,Simpson, has been called from this earth, and
WHEREAS George Simpson became a TOwn Trustee on A~ril~27, 1964,
and we mourn his passing and the loss of a trusted friend and
co-worker,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board of Southold Town
Trustees express its sense of loss and its sympathy to the family
of George Simpson, and that a copy of this resolution De entered
in our minutes and a copy be sent to his family.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith[ Mr. Robertson, Mr.
Horton, Mr. Johnson.
An application was received from Henry J. Steinbrecher, 1525 Haywaters
Road, Cutchogue, New York, requesting permission to rebuild a dock
and add floating dock on Lot 270A,Haywaters Road, Cutchogue, New York,
on Haywaters Cove. The Board ~ill investigate the site.
The Board received an application from John and Henrietta McAlonan,
who were denied an application to build a bulkhead on their property
at Stillwater Avenue on East Creek, Cutchogue, New York. The new
application proposes the construction of a jetty 35 ft. into Sast
Creek, to prevent further erosion. The Board will investigate the
site.

An application was received from Walter R. Silleck, Mattituck,
New York, requesting permission to construct a dock and bulkhead
on his property at Westview Drive, on Mattituck Creek, Mattituck,
New York. The purpose of the~.a~p~i~a~iDn is to protect and
preserve his property from erosion by ti~ and storm and also
provide a base for doq~ng ~o tie~h~s pleasure bQat. The Board
will ~nvestigate the site.
On motion of Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Robertson, it was
RESOLVED that the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board
of Southcld Town Trustees held on November 6, 1972 be approved
as submitted.

objection to the iss~aoce of a permit, to Armida C.~ Desposito to
place, fill on his p~operty at Great Pond, Sout~o~d, New-Yerk.
This property ~s considered wetlands by the Board of Southold
Town Trustees,.and.should b~ preserved.,
