Meeting of 'Auguslt 7, 19+2~
The Southold Town Trustees met at the Town Clerk's Office, Main
Road, Southold, New York on Monday, August 7, 1972 at 7:30 P.M.
with the following'present: .
Alvah B. Goldsmith, ~hai~man, Ge0~e A."~S~mpson,'
Philip G. Horton, Rudolph Johnson and Judith T.
Boken Secretary. Absent: Douglas M. Robert~on.
Mr. James Knowles appeared before the Board to present a sketch
of existing moorings at Richmond Creek, off Indian Neck Lane,-.
Peconic. Six permits habe been issued for moorings in thi~ are~
however, there are ten boats moored there~at present. The Secretary
~as instructed to contact Bay Constable Januic~ ~~'h'~ ~o
investigate the situation.
Mr. Donald Aldrich appeared before the Bb~ t~"present his applica-
tion for a mooring.
0~ motion of Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Johnson, it was
RESOLVED that Donald Aldrich, Minnehaha Boulevard, S0uthold;-New
York, be granted~.permissign.to plac~ a mooring in. Core~ Creek,
Southold, opposite the end of Opeche Avenue, Laughing Waters,~
all in accordance with the application submitted. Fee $1.00 paid.

The Board reviewed the application Of Mary Ober, Bayv~i~w]' Sod~hold.
Mr. Patrick Carrig-represe~ted Mrs. Ober. It was determined that
the proposed-bulkhead is necessary as there is Considerable erosion
in this area, also,the bulkhead would be oh'the applicant's own
property..
On motion Of Mr~ Simpson, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was
RESOLVED~that ~ary. Ober, Bayview,..Southold, ~New~York, be granted
permission to erect a bulkhead on her property on private road off
Bayview Road, Southold. Said bulkhead to be 50 ft. with returns-of
5 ft. and-8 ft., all in accordance with the.application submitted.
Fee $5.00. .

Mr. Patrick Carrig appeared before the Board to present application
of Donald Treharne. (Bay Cons~i~_Jan~iCk checked this area and

On motion of Mr. Simps6n, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was

York, be granted permission to construct a dock 3 ft. by 18 ft.,
ramp 3 ft. by 8 'ft., f~oat,5~ft~ by 14 ft,,' ~otal 148 sq. ft.,
and two pilings at his property on Mill Creek, Southold, New York,
all in accordance with the application submitted. Fee $16.80.
