The Secretary' was i~stru~cted~,tC-for%~ard-a-~Ietter to~th~ ~roadwaters COVe CiVic Associatian advising them that an appl~iCati~n mus~~'be~f~iled f~ maintenance dredging regardle~ of the fact they had a previous permit in 1967 for this same type of. operation. ~' Mr. Patrick Carrig appeared before the Board relative to the outcome of investigation into the application of Stephen Hartman. On motion of Mr. H~t~on, seconded by Mr. Robertson, it was RESOLVED, that Stephen~Ha~tman, Little Pecon~c Bay Ro~ Nassau Point, Cutchogue, N~W York, be granted permission to construct a bulkhead along his aforesaid property, on Wunneweta Pond, 120 ft. in length, in line with the existing bulkhead, all in accordance with the application submitted. Fee $30.00. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Simpson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson. Mr.~arrig presented to the Board the application of James Castagna, Water~iew Drive, Southold, New York. On motion of Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Simpson, it was RESOLVED, that James Castaqna~ Waterview Drive, Southold, New York, be granted permission to erect a dock and float on his property on Goose Creek, 40 ft. in length overall, all in accordance with the application submitted. Fee $20.00. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Simpson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson. 9 Mr. Carrig pre~ented the application of Richard Bozsnyak to ~the Board of iTown Trustees. On motion of Fir. Robertson,~ seconded~by~ Mr.~.Hor~on, it~.was RESOLVED, that Robert Bozsnyak~ .46-30 C0ndord. Avenue, ~Great Neck, New York, ~e granted permission to,build a dock and float on his property at Bay Avenue, Cutchogue.~ New York, on Mud Creek, 39 ft. in length overall, in accordance with the application submitted. Bayvi~wRoad, Southold, on GooseCreek, 33~feet in length., all in accordance with the application ~ubmitted. Fee $16.50. A letter.was.received from Gary F..01sen relative-to Lot t2~ (Davis to de Reeder), Map ,of Cedar Beach Park, at Bayview, Sou~hold, New York. Mr. Olsen wished to know whether or not a bulkhead could be restored on this lot and.~whe~her or not it could be backfi~ted. Mr. GoldS~mith advised the Board that he had replied to Mr. Olsen, .stating that~the fact this property was originally bulkheaded and filled, plus the fact ~hat this-area,was~, to~Mr~ ~Go~dSmith~s~nowted~e;~?a ,man~made bas~n, it would ~not be considered-Town property, nor~in his open,on would it be considered wetlands by the Board of Town Trustees. Dornauer, 185 Willow Point Road,~Southol-d, New Yo, rk~ appeared before..the Board to discuss~ the Const~uctian_o-~ a ~khead ~long his property fronting on the extension of Budd's Pond. Mr. Dorna,uer al~o~'.submitted ~the-~appliCation~f~Liffor~ C~Co~el!, adjoining property owner~~ Upon_examination-o~ the,~area~mapj~and ~ an opinion from~Building Inspector Terry that there is a possibility this could be wetlands, the Board advised Mr. Dornauer that the construction.of a. bulkhead is_o~t of the,~Jurisdiction~of the Town Trustees as this is a dredged canal on private propert~ and stated he. should file a wetlands application with the Town Board, and the following resolution would accompany ,it: ~ ~ l0 On motion of Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Simpson, it was RESOLVED, that theBear~_of Town Trustees waive objection-~tO the applications of Georqe K. Dornauer and Clifford C'~ ~Cornell ~Qrt~ewetlands permit on the grounds the property was filled to several feet above'hhe.highest high' tide a number Of years prior to thepassage of the' Wetlands Ordinance. ~l%iof~ this-property - was excavah~d from pu!ivate land~, and. none~of it is~now, nor ever ~as under?the jurisdiction of the Town Trustees. The Board of Town Trustees feel the proposals of George K, Dornauer and Clifford~'~C~ Cornell do not.'~cohflict with~ net-have any detrimenta~ affect on any Wetland Ordinance provisi~n. ~ ~ · ~ Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Simpson, Mr..~Hor~A,. Rober~son', it was- RESOLVED, that Fisherman's' Beach Association, Cutchogue, New York, be granted permission to dredge a channel 100 ft. long and 6 ~ft. wide fo~ maintenance t~ provide access t©~the channel behind Fisherman's Beach on Broadwaters Creek, '~Haywaters' Road, ~Cutchogue, New York. Approximately 200 cu. yds. of dredged material is to be pl~ed~on'the property~of William Johnston, Fisherman's~Beach~ Cu~chogue, New York, all in accordance%with the applicatio~ ~s.ub~ m~tted~' No Fee fo~ maintenance dredging. Vote~of~the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. RobertsOn, Mr. Simpson, Mr~ ~Horton, Mr. JohssQn. The Board recemved notification from the Suffolk County Department of Public Works advising~the Board%of~the proposed dredging project in Deep:Hole C~eek, Mattituck. The Secretary-was instructed to forward a letter to the Department of Public Works requesting the P~e~m]inary Plan for this project'and %he locations, for deposit of the dredged materi~l. ~ ~Mr. Goldsmith~advised th~tBoard that Mr. Noor at Boatman's Harbor, had a~ked ~im~if he would need -a,permit to remove:a sand.bar obstructing the channel in Cutchogu~ Harbor ah Wickham Creek. Mr. Goldsmith advised him that a permit would not be needed for his'i'mai~tenance ~redging in that'area, as the County will be doing maintenance~dredging there in the near future~ The ~p~r~ o~.~T~w~ Trustees received maps from the Suffolk county Bepartment~of Public Works indicating the spoil areas in connection with.dredging at Corey Creek, 2~Wickham~creek and Richmond Creek. An~application was received from. James E. ~Gibbons requesting permiss'i~n to build a dock. On motion of Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was 1.1 RESOLVED, that James E. Gibbons, 13~ Cambridge Avenue, Garden City, New York, be granted permission to build a dock, ramp and float, overall 58 feet in length, with two pilings,=on his property on Jockey Creek at a private road off Pine Neck Road, Southold, all in accordance with the application submitted. Fee $31.00. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Simpson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson. An apptication~'was,received from_Jerome B.~&~Be~ty~Lewin.,~ ~6~3~ 167 Street, Flushing, New York, f~r permission ~o.p~ace a,boat~ mooring in Goose Bay, Southold.
