SOUTHOLD ~ TOWN-~TRUSTEES

The Southold Town Trustees met~at the-TownClerk's Office, Main
Road, Southold, New-~York on Monday~ha6y 1972~at~:30 P.M.,
with the following present: ~ ~
Alvah B. Goldsmith, ~9~rman/,~.Dp~gl~ M.~.Robertson~ George A. Simpson,
Philip G, ~Hor~on, Rudolph Johnson, and Judith T. Bokeh, Secretary.

RESOLVED: That the minutes of February 7, 1972 be approved as
submitted.~/ ~

Patrick Carrig appeared before the Board~o,d~scuss ~the application
of Stephen Hartman, owner of property 8n Little Peconic Bay Road,
Nassau Point, Cutcho~ue, New York. Mr. Hartman wishes to construct
a bu~kh~a~ ~i~'~'~.-length along his~-prOperty ~Iine'on Wunneweta
Pond. ~There is presently a small.portion of bulkhead on the property
which measures ~38 ft. on ~unneweta Pond. -- The',Board will
~nvestigate the site.
Mr. Carrig'~'inq6ired~as to the status of the applications of John
Lusk and Arthur Sauer to construct bulkheads on their adjoining
properties on James Creek. at.Riley Avenue, Mattituck~ -- ~The
Board had ~isves~igated this property individu~l.ly and it was agreed
that the ~pplications of Mr. Lusk and Mr. Sauer would come under the
Wetland Ordi.nance.~ Mr'~ Cat,rig stated he would inform Mr. Lusk and
Mr. Sau~r.~of~the findings cf the Board. ~
The Board s~gne~ permit ~693, Robert D. & Luella G. Boyd, and
permit ~694 (Stake ~291), Miriam B. Conan~,
Mr. Goldsmit~ advised the Board that Mr. Arthur Antonison, Hiawatha's
Path, Southold, has w~thdrawn his application for a boat stake.
A letter was received~rom the Departmen't of Public Works, Yaphank,
transmitting preliminary plans for proposed dredging by the County
in Corey Creek, Wickham Creek and Richmond Creek. Upon examination
of the maps the Board was unable to determine where the fill would
be deposited. The Secretary was instructed toforward a letter to
the Department of Public Works requesting this information.'
The Board discussed the proposed new forms drawn up by Mr.
Robertson. It was a.qreed that the.forms were excellent and
requested Mr. Robertson to consult with Town Attorney Tasker
prior to the forms.being sent-to the~printer.
Mr. Robertson presented the Board with a set of working maps
to be used in conjunction with applications. It was agreed these
maps would be an important part of each new application.

RESOLVED: That the Board of T6wn Trustees orde~ a~omp%e~e
set of the Southold Town Zoning Maps for use by the Town Trustees.
Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Gold-smith, Mr. Roberts~n, Mr.
Simpson, Mr? Horton, ~. Johnson.
On motion of Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Robertson, it was
RESOLVED: That the ~next meeting, of the Boa~d~of TOWn T~ustees
will be held at 7~:30 ~.M., ~onday, April 3, 1972 .at,the Town~
Clerk's-.Off~ce, Main ~oad, Sou~hold, New-YOrk.
