HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-02/07/1972 SOUTHOLD TOWN TRUSTEES Meeting of F~et~ruar~ 7, 1972~ The Southold Town Trustees met at the Town Clerk's Office, Main Road, Southold, New York on Monday, ~b~aary 7, 1972 at 7:30 P.M. with the following present: Alvah B. Goldsmith, Chairman, Douglas M. Robertson, George A. Simpson, Philip G. Horton, Rudolph Johnson, and Judith T. Boken, Secretary. On motion of Mr. Simpson, seconded by Jr. Johnson, it was RESOLVED: That the minutes of January 3, 1972 be approved as submitted. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Simpson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson. The Board of Town Trustees received the report of the_Department of Audit and Control, State of New York for January l, 1968 through December 31, 19~0. The Secretary submitted affidavits of publica- tion which gave notice of the completion of the audit and a certifica- tion of same. ~ The Board discussed the application of Robert D. & Luella G. Bovd, Midwood Road, Cutchogue, New York for permission bo bulkhead, dredge and fill at West Creek, Goose Neck, Southold. On motion of Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was RESOLVED: r That Robert D. and Luella G. Boyd, Midwood Road, Cutchogue, New York be granted permission to ~uild a bulkhead 89.22 feet, dredge and back fill 17 cu. yds. at the corner of Smith Drive North and Williams Road, Goose Neck, on West Creek, Southold, New York, all in accordance with the application submitted. Fee $28.08. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Simpson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson. Mr. Dan Kohn appeared before the Board for information purposes. Mr. Kohn is interested in purchasing a parcel of land off of Indian Neck Road, on Richmond Creek in ~econic, but would seek permission to dredge in Richmond Creek to obtain deep water as he owns a large boat. It was established that extensive dredging would almost certainly be needed, as well as disposal of the spoils which would possibly affect wetlands. Mr. Kohn was advised to consult with the Planning Board in this regard. An application was received from Miriam B. Conant, for permission to set three two-pile dolphins in Gull Pond. On On motion of Mr. Robertso~., seconded by. Mr. Simpson, it was RESOLVED: That Miriam B. Conant, 1261 Madison Avenue, New York, New York, be granted permission to set three (3) two-pile dolphins in Gull Pond, in front of her property on Inlet Lane Extension, Greenport, New York. These dolphins are to be placed within an 80 ft. width, 25 ft. from the property line on Gull Pond, all in accordance with. the application, submitted. Fee Vote of the~Board: Ayes~ ~r. Goldsmith, Mr~ Robertson, Mr. Simpson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Johnson. --~ · Ab application was received:from Arthur.Antonison:,, Hiawatha's Path, Southold, .New YoD% requesting permission, to put one:.stake in Corey Creek, Southold, at the end of a new unnamed road off of Bay View Road;. this unnamed road opposite Smith Drive. North. The Board'directed that a letter be sent to Mr. Antonison asking that he advise the_Board whether.lthe unnamed road-referred tO. in ~ his .application is privately owned, and, if so, he must obta~n:a letter in writing from the owner giving him permission to cross the~property:to reach his ~boat. Applications were received:from Arthur Sauer and John Lusk, ,adjoining property owTner, s f. ronting on James Creek, off of Riley Avenue, Mattituck, New:York, requesting permission to bulkhead their property.. The Board will inwestigate the site. Mr. Robertson presented to the Board his proposals for revised applica~.ions of the Board,.of Town Trustees for instructions, permit, boat moorings, bulkheads, dredging and use. p? la. Dd.~der Town waters. Copies~.will-_~be made of the~proposed forms .and submitted to.each of the Board members for their consideration. The next meeting of the Board of Town Trustees will be held 7:30 P.M., Monday, March 6, 1972 at the Town Clerk 'Office, Main Road,, Southold, New York.
