Multiple telephone calls and impromptu meetings with community residents requesting information regarding the Habitat for Humanity site. Meeting with Orient and East Marion fire department officials to discuss availability of Habitat site for interested firefighters, EMTs, etc. Meetings with prospective applicants regarding their Housing Registry applications and qualifications for Habitat site. Meeting with Leslie Weisman regarding possible revisions of Town code to foster development of affordable apartments in Hamlet Business districts. Report of 2013 Accomplishments and 2014 Goals and Objectives. Youth Bureau: Facilitated Youth Bureau board meeting and disseminated minutes. Facilitated Youth Advisory Council meeting. Continued supervision of Mattituck senior, Christian Montgomery, for independent study assignment for environmental initiatives. Meeting with Suffolk County Youth Bureau Board, discussion of upcoming County Executive's Anti-Bullying initiative (forwarded to local schools.) Meeting of Association New York State Youth Bureaus Long Island region. Meeting with Mattituck senior, Joe Nadel, regarding development of fund- raising charitable event for lung cancer. Meeting with Southold Business Advisory Council-discussion of Job and Internship Fair. Meeting with East End regional youth service providers and Youth Bureaus to review evaluations of October and November 2013 conferences. Report of 2013 Accomplishments and 2014 Goals and Objectives. Comprehensive Plan: One team meeting in discussion of Land Use chapter for Peconic hamlet. Economic Development: Meeting with Economic Development Committee (EDC) and disseminated minutes. Meeting with Amy Maguire Burns re proposed EDC agenda, proposed farmers market initiative, etc. Several preliminary meetings for development of Job and Internship Fair for high school and returning college students that includes invitation letter to local employers from Supervisor. Development of Times Review 2014 Business Directory advertisement Report of 2013 Accomplishments and 2014 Goals and Objectives. Community Development: Meeting with Jim McMahon regarding billing and delivery of Handilift for Peconic Lane Community Center. Developed 2014 administrative summary report for accounting and billing of CDBG administration funds from Suffolk County. Executive Safety: Due to the activation of several alarm buttons, re-issued Southold Network- Based Panic Button policy. Other: Multiple meetings for planning and attendance of Long Island Deer Damage Management Program with the public. Meeting with Environmental workgroup (Youth Bureau, Renewable and Alternative Energy, School Superintendents and Teachers) and the Group for the East End to develop an Earth Day initiative for middle school students. Developed Community Notices advertisement for Suffolk Times. With Lloyd Reisenberg and Linda Cooper, reviewed and revised committee membership listings on Town website.
