It was determined the existing bulkhead was in good enough condition to remain in place and remain undisrupted. The new bulkhead was installed directly behind the existing and a new tie-back system installed. This method not only provides for a stable bulkhead but also avoids any disruption with the environment due to removal of existing. In addition to the change in the bulkhead placement the plans have been revised to reflect the following: 1. A 4 foot wide deck has been added in lieu of the approved 2 foot wide deck on the original permit. 2. It has been clarified the non-turf buffer will be 3 foot deep of bank run sand/gravel with 3 or 4 inches of pervious stone/gravel on top of it as originally discussed and approved at the public hearing. In addition, check number 1534 in the amount of $50 has been included as requested. If you should have any questions or require anything further, please do not hesitate to call me at 631-484-9332.
