I
I am writing to you requesting a "Pre -Submission" Inspection of my boat basin on
Nov. 9"'. Mr. Al Krupski took a look at my property and said he would like all of
you to see the basin.
Since buying my home at Broadwaters Cove over 20 years ago, my boat basin, its
entry and the passage out to the main channel have "filled in", making it practically
unusable in its current state. I need to dredge the "basin" and "entry" into it (I
own the "underwater" land), plus the distance to the nearby main channel.
Mr. Krupski also thought a "low sill" bulkhead might be feasible.
My basin is approx. 30' x 30' and the entry inlet is approx. 25' x 12'. It was
originally 3' deep below the bottom (or low tide level) and is now shallow and almost
"closed". The distance from my entry mouth to the main channel is probably 40
feet. My boat can't even come in at high tide.
Enclosed is:
(1) A copy of my survey showing the boat basin.
(2) Previous authorization for dredging to open the entry into the
basin in 1973 (issued to Nancy Graham).
(3) A photo from your Town Hall Computer showing the birds eye view of
my channel and its entry (along with property lines noted).
I would like to apply for a permit to dredge the basin, entry mouth and short
distance to main channel so I can use it to park our boat and to keep the high
"property value" of the boat basin.
Thank you for your consideration,
Sincerely,
Nicholas W. Bubany
