(631) 765-1809 • Fax (631) 765-9064 MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING THURSDAY OCTOBER 17, 2013 A Special Meeting of the SOUTHOLD TOWN ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS was held at the Southold Town Hall Annex, Capitol One Bank Building, First Floor Conference Room, 54375 Main Road at Youngs Avenue, Southold on Thursday October 17, 2013 commencing at 5:00 P.M. Present were Leslie Kanes Weisman, Chairperson/Member George Horning, Member (left 6:45 P.M.) Ken Schneider, Member Eric Dantes, Member Vicki Toth, Zoning Board Assistant Absent: Gerard P. Goehringer, Member Call to Order at 5:05 P.M. by Chairperson Weisman. STATE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY REVIEWS: A. New Applications: reviews (pending) - None. The Board proceeded with the Agenda as follows POSSIBLE BOARD RESOLUTION TO CLOSE THE HEARING ON LAWRENCE HOLFELDER#6682 - Request for Variance from Article XXII Code Section 280-1160 and the Building Inspector's June 20, 2013 Notice of Disapproval based on an application for building permit for additions and alterations to existing single family dwelling: 1) proposed construction at less than the code required bulkhead setback of 75 feet, located at: 6340 Peconic Bay Boulevard (adj. to Great Peconic Bay) Laurel, NY. SCTM#1000-126-11-1 BOARD RESOLUTION: Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Dantes, to close the hearing reserving decision Vote of the Board: Ayes: All This resolution was duty adopted (4-0) Member Goehringer was absent Page 2 - Minutes Special Meeting held October 17, 2013 Southold Town Zoning Board of Appeals DELIBERATIONS/POSSIBLE DECISIONS/RESOLUTIONS: The Board continued with agenda items, and commenced deliberations on the following applications. The original determinations of each of the following applications as decided are filed with the Southold Town Clerk: APPROVED AS APPLIED: MICHAEL LLOYD #6690 EDWARD J. FLANNIGAN #6687 MAJORIE SNYDER and ANN NOTTES #6683 JOHNNY DONADIC #6689 DONALD J. McCALLION #6686 APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS: RICHARD E. and AMANDA J.T. RIEGEL III #6684 LAWRENCE HOLFELDER #6682 BEATE and STEVEN SWANSON #6681 DENIED IN PART/GRANTED IN PART W/CONDITIONS FORDHAM HOUSE. LLC #6680 RESOLUTIONS/UPDATED REVIEWS/OTHER: A. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Schneider, to authorize advertising of hearings for the next Regular Meeting to be held November 7, 2013 at 8:30 AM. Vote of the Board: Ayes: All. This Resolution was duly adopted (4-0). Member Goehringer was absent. B. RESOLUTION ADOPTED Motion offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Schneider, to approve minutes from Regular Meeting held September 26, 2013 and October 3, 2013. Vote of the Board: Ayes: All. This Resolution was duly adopted (4-0). Member Goehringer was absent. WORK SESSION A. Possible amended ZBA decision #3256, per Planning Board request. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Horning, to remove two conditions. Vote of the Board: Ayes: All. This Resolution was duly adopted (4.0). Member Goehringer was absent B. De minimus request ZBA#6583, Flaherty. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Dantes, to approve de Page 3 - Minutes Special Meeting held October 17, 2013 Southold Town Zoning Board of Appeals minimus request. Vote of the Board Ayes: All. This Resolution was duly adopted (4-0). Member Goehrineer was absent C. Requests from Board Members for future Agenda items. D. There being no other business properly coming before the Board at this time, Chairperson declared the meeting adjourned.
