HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/10/2013 November 7, 2013 edition Legal Notice: ANNUAL ELECTION FOR FIRE COMMISSIONER OF THE CUTCHOGUE FIRE DISTRICT Be it know, that the ANNUAL ELECTION of the Cutchogue Fire District will take place on Tuesday December 10th 2013, between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00 p.m. at the Cutchogue Fire House located at 260 New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue, NY. The purpose will be to elect a (1) Fire Commissioner for a 5- year term, commencing on January 1, 2014 and ending on December 31, 2018. All residents of the Cutchogue Fire District who have registered with the County Board of Elections by November 18th, 2012 shall be eligible to vote. Residents who wish to vote by absentee ballot may either call for mailing (734-6907) or pick up the applications at the firehouse commencing November 11th 8am. The "Permanently Disabled" will be receiving ballots via mail on December 2nd. Last day to make application to receive a ballot by mail is December 3rd. Ballots must be received at the Cutchogue Firehouse by Monday December 9u, at 5 PM. Candidates for District Office shall file their petition, containing their name, term of office and a minimum of 25 registered voters names and addresses of the Cutchogue Fire District, with the Secretary of the Cutchogue Fire District at 260 New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue, NY no later than November 18, 2013.
