HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-10/02/1979370 A regut'ar, meeting of the Board of Sonthold Town TruStees was held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 2, 1979, at the Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York. Present were: · President,Philip G. Horton TrUstee Scott Harris Trustee Anna Hataier Trustee Paul Stoutenburgh Trustee--Cynthia Kamin.sky Troy 'Gustavson, Suffolk Times Roberta Sinnott, League of Women Voters Trustee Hataier made a motion, seconded by Trustee Stoutenburgh and carried, to-approve the minutes of the meeting of September 1979. On motion made by President Horton, seconded by Trustee Harris, it was RESOLVED to deny the application of Gary Charnews to place offshore stake with pulley line to bulkhead at public property at Gull Pond. This action without prejudice to a future application. Vote of~the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, Hataier, Kaminsky Abstain: Stoutenbur~n On motion made by President Horton, seconded by Trustee Harris, it was RESOLVED~to deny the application of Allie HansOn to place offshore 'stake with ~pulley~line to bulkhead~at 'public property at Gul~l Pond~ This action is without prejmdice to a future-application. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, Hataier, E~minsky Abstain: Stou~enburgh ~ · On motion made by President Horton, seconded bM'Trustee Harris, it was RESOLVED to deny the application of Larry Lakowitz to place offshore stake with pulley line ~o-~bdlkhead at public property at Gull Pond. This action is without prejudice to a future application. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, Hataier, Stoutenburgh Kaminsky On motion made by Trustee Hataier, seconded by Trustee Kaminsky, it was RESOLVED to approve the application of Peter Stoutenburgh on behalf of Mr. Griffith to repair concrete bulkhead and perform bulk- head replacement at private property at James Creek. DeLalla ~to place an additional piling off.private property of. the-applicant at-Mud Creek to makea~total of four pilimgSat this loc~ation~ Vote of the Board: ~Ayes: Horton, 'Harris, Hataier, Stoutenburgh Kaminsky ~.The Trustees feel there should not be any~mmoorings or pilings off the property to the south or.this location. Mr. ~eLalla was cautioned that Section 100-30 of the Code of the Town of Southold specifies that there may be not more than two boat other than those owned and used by the owner of the-premises for his personal use. 'Trustee Stoutenburgh stated that he felt it was wr0ng.to~dig out from in front of oeool~s~oropertv in cre~k~. He felt~the trustees should deny any future request fbr this sort of thing. President Horton made a motion, seconded by Trustee Hataier and carried 'to approve the renewal of the following due November l, 1979 subject to receipt of the $5.00 fee. Ann G. Baydala Raymond E. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, Hataier, Stoutenburgh Kaminsky 373 On motion ma~e by Trustee Stoutenburgh', seconded by Trustee Hataier, it was RESOLVED to.approve the application of Goose Bay Civic Association, Inc. to ma~ntenanc~e dredge Goose Creek channel the length-of the dredged area to be 1,000 feet and the width to be 50 feet with a / maximum amount of material to be dredged to be 3,000 cubic yards, subject to the following: The beach grass is to be set aside and replanted along the creek after the spoil has.been deposited on the upland. 2. The project not be commenced before March of 1980. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, Hataier, Stoutenburgh Kaminsky On motion made by President Horton, seconded by Trustee Hataier, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board approval of ~f'-~ Wetland Application #~9~of the Goose Bay Civic Associati~n~ Inc./$4~J~/ subject to the following: ' ~--~ 1. The project not be commenced before March of'1980. 2. Vegetation be removed and replanted along the spoil' area. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, Hataier, Stoutenburgh Kaminsky A verbal inquiry was made by Professor Walter Smith of the Suffolk County Community. College regarding bulkhead replacement to be done at the Cedar Beach location of the college. This is not in the jurisdiction of the Town Trustees but will require a Wetland Permit from the Southold Town Board. Trustee Stoutenburgh inquired as to when the meeting will be held in regard to the end of East Road in Cutchogue. President Horton is endeavoring to set up this meeting and is hopeful it will take place before the next regular meeting of the Trustees. In regard to a complaint made to the Town Trustees Clerk on September 25, 1979, Trustee Kaminsky reported that Mattamar has completed work according to permit. The next meeting of the Board will be held on Monday, November 5th at 7:00 p.m. 374 There being no further business to-..come before the.Board, Trustee Hataier made a motion, seconded by Trustee Harris and carried to adjourn the meeting.
