Dear Mr. Frankola:
This letter is in regards to the letter received on July 29, 2013 requesting to cut
the branches off of a dying tree that extend over your home and/or cut the tree
down that is within anon-disturbance buffer area. The Board of Trustees
determined that no permit will be required for this request and that the tree
branches may be cut back, or cut the tree down to grade.
Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this
office.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

To whom it may concern
My name is Bruno Frankola and I own the house on 840 Northfield lane, Southold NY. There is a dead
tree behind my home which is on protected property. However this tree has branches that extend over
my home above my young children's bedroom. During the Sandy Storm of October 2012 there was
another tree that was dead and it fell because of the storm. I am afraid that with another storm this tree
will fall on my children's bedroom. I would like permission to trim the dead branches that extend over
my home and if possible take this tree down before something detrimental would happen. Please let me
