Dear Mr. & Mrs. Claudio:
In regards to your letter dated July 18, 2013 requesting to cut down a single birch
tree near the stone revetment; the Board of Trustees determined that no permit
will be required for this request and that the birch tree may be cut down to grade
level.
Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this
office.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

Dear Trustees:
I am writing to ask permission to cut down a dying birch tree which is approximately 16' upland from a
permitted stone revetment which will be constructed by Costello Marine in October 2013. The birch has
not been healthy for many years and each year its condition worsens. The permitting for the planned
revetment requires a planted 25' buffer. As there will be considerable disruption in the area with the
revetment construction and buffer planting, it seems the right time to take down this dying tree.
