Requires Immediate Attention: Videoconferencin~ The Board continues to experience difficulties with clear and reliable reception during videoconferencing with. our Fishers Island member at monthly Special Meetings. After consulting with Lloyd Reisenberg in Data Processing, our office and member Horning have established SKYPE accounts which we tested in association with our existing equipment at our June Special Meeting. This method proved to be a partial improvement but ran only with difficulty and several interruptions in either audio or visual connection from one or both locations. We will continue to pursue options as available to improve reliable communications. II. Board and Office Policies, Practices, and Activities: Reconstruction of Storm Dammed Cabanas and Bath Houses on Bulkheads The Board has recently received an increasing number of applications from property owners to rebuild cabanas/bath houses on or very close to bulkheads that were demolished or damaged beyond repair by storms. We began investigating the history of these structures in several waterfront neighborhoods to determine how many, if any, have CO's or Pre-CO's or were built through variance relief from the ZBA. Our intent is to present our findings to the Town Board, if warranted, since the re- building of these non-conforming structures is not permitted as of right, most were never legally established, and it is generally difficult to justify their reconstruction based upon the standards set forth in the balancing test that the Board of Appeals is required to apply in rendering a decision.
