En-Consultants on behalf of JAMES ABBOTT requests a Wetland Permit to construct approximately
96 linear feet of vinyl bulkhead in place of (and /-12 h~gher than) existing storm damaged timber
bulkhead; remove and replace (in-kind/in-place) approximately 91 linear feet of timber retaining wall;
remove existing returns and construct (2) 24' vinyl returns along property lines; remove and replace or
repair existing 10'x18' deck/gazebo and masonry stairs as necessary; construct 4'x8' steps to beach;
and backfill with approximately 100 cubic yards of clean sandy fill. Located: 8810 Great Peconic Bay
Boulevard, Laurel. SCTM# 126-5-1
It is my recommendation that the proposed actions are INCONSISTENT with LWRP Policy 6.3 (below)
and therefore, INCONSISTENT with the LWRP.
6.3 Protect and restore tidal and freshwater wetlands.
Comply with statutory and regulatory requirements of the Southold Town Board of
Trustees laws and regulations for all Andros Patent and other lands under their
jurisdiction
Comply with Trustee regulations and recommendations as set forth in Trustee
permit conditions.
The structures described were not constructed pursuant to a Chapter 275 Wetlands and
Shorelines permit.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its
written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.

AUTHORIZATION
Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 275 of the Town Code of the Town of Southold and in
accordance with the Resolution of the Board of Trustees adopted at the meeting held on January 23, 2013, and
in consideration of application fee in the sum of $250.00 paid by En-Consultants and subject to the Terms and
Conditions as stated in the Resolution, the Southold Town Board of Trustees authorizes and permits the
following:
Wetland Permit to construct approx. 98 If. of vinyl bulkhead in place of (and +l-
18" higher than) existing storm damaged timber bulkhead; replace existing timber
returns with (2) 24' vinyl returns along property lines; remove existing concrete
foundation and construct a 10'xl0' gazebo (deck with roof above) in place of storm
damaged 10'xl 1' storage building; construct 4' wide stairway and landings in place of
storm destroyed stairway; construct 4'x8' steps to beach; and re-nourish storm eroded
area landward of bulkhead with approx. 750 cy. of clean sandy fill to restore top of
slope and naturally vegetated embankment to pre-storm conditions; with the condition
that all remains of concrete debris be removed; and as depicted on the site plan
prepared by En-Consuitants~l'ast dated December'~l, 20t2, arid stamped approved on
January 23, 2(~13.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said Board of Trustees hereby causes its Corporate Seal to be affixed,
and these presents to be subscribed by a majority of the said~ Board as of this date.
