A visual inspection has been performed at this residence on the floor system of the 1850 farm house and the following items were noted. Numerous existing floor joists were sistered with 2x6's, which span approx. 6 ft. to 7 ft.. The girders under the Kitchen were 6x6's posted approx. 4.5 ft. to 5ft apart. The exterior foundation walls were constructed of field stone and the interior basement walls were constructed of brick all appear to be in stable condition at this time. Areas of the floor system may require sistering or re-supporting in the future if new problems were to be noted. Upon completion of my visual inspection of the basement area the floor system for this 1~50 structure is considered adequate at this time and no immediate hazards can be determined. James D.
