The Southold Town Police Department is soliciting proposals for vendors who wish to provide two (2)
Four Stroke Outboard motors for the department's Marine unit. This proposal will include the removal of
old motors and installation of new ones. The proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the
specifications listed below:

inch shafts (one which will be counter rotating.) The motors should be normally
aspirated (non turbo or super charged.)
2 Supply and install new control box with cables and new wiring harness and new

4 New motors should have a 2 year warranty

SPECIFICATIONS FOR FOUR STROKE OUTBOARD MOTORS
The Southold Town Police Department is soliciting proposals for vendors who wish to provide two (2)
Four Stroke Outboard motors for the department's Marine unit. This proposal will include the removal of
old motors and installation of new ones. The proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the
specifications listed below:

I Supply and install two 60 degree 6 cylinder 200bp four stroke outboards with 25
inch shafts (one which will be counter rotating.) Thc motors should be normally
aspirated (non turbo or super charged.)
2 Supply and install new control box with cables and new wiring harness and new
gauges to fit new motors.
3 New motors should have a 90 amp alternator
4 New motors should have a 2 year warranty
5 Supply and install new fuel lines from the existing filters to the new motors
6 Supply and install all necessary parts to match up to the existing hydraulic
steering
7 Thc bid shall include the removal and reconditioning of thc existing stainless steel
props and thc installation or new stainless steel props to fit the new motors and
the boat
8 Thc bid shall include thc removal of existing motors and the removal of all
related cables, wiring and gauges, etc.
9 The bid shall include all hauling and transporting of the vessel necessary for the
installation of the new motors to and from the vessel's mooring.
