Russell, Town Board Liaison Commencement: · The meeting began at 7:05 p.m. with six LPC members present. Adoption of Meeting Minutes: · Acceptance of LPC meeting minutes from April 16, 2013 HOLD for next LPC meeting. Land Preservation Applications and Inquiries: · STATUS OF PENDING PROJECTS AND INQUIRIES Melissa Spiro, Land Preservation Coordinator presented status of pending projects and noted the following: Significant amount of time has been spent on MACARI FARMS LLC FRPP grant items and MAARATOOKA NORTH LLC State grant items. SHOWALTER contacted Melissa and he expects to have information for May '14th LPC meeting. BISSETT sent letter withdrawing LPC application. NEW SUFFOLK LAND CO IV, LLC (PLT) closing scheduled for May 2013. SCTM #1000-108-2-5.1 (CARUCCl) PDR application LPC reviewed PDR application for 10 acre purchase of development rights on 12.8 acre farm. Property is adjacent to, and in the vicinity of, other preserved farms and LPC favors pursuing preservation of the project as presented. However, at this time, funding is limited and the LPC does not recommend earmarking funding for this project at this time. If funding becomes available in the future, the LPC will review the subject project together with other pending applications at that time and a determination will be made whether or not to pursue preservation. SCTM #1000-31-16-6 (TOSCA REALTY, LLC / SCARMATO) Open Space (donation) application LPC reviewed landowner's offer to donate 1_+ acre unbuildable property adjacent to Marion Lake. The LPC recommends acceptance of the donation of land. Acceptance of the property will give the Town better access to Marion Lake. The property appears to include a right-of-way to 6 or 7 lots. The LPC is not in favor of accepting the property with the r-o-w. Melissa to review options for making sure that the Town is not responsible for any part of the r-o-w if the donation is accepted. Applications & Inquiries for Uses or Structures on Preserved Property: · None Stewardship and Management: · None General Land Preservation Items: · CPF ADVISORY OPINIONS BUREAU MEETING Updated re: April 10, 2013 meeting Melissa gave brief overview of the meeting and some of the items discussed at the meeting. Additions to Agenda: · OPEN SPACE/FARMLAND BOND (per Supervisor Russell) Supervisor Russell asked the LPC for recommendation in regard to placing an open space/farmland bond on the ballot. LPC was receptive to the idea that the bond be for both open space and farmland. TOWN LEASH LAW PERTAINING TO TOWN PRESERVES (per Lillian Ball) LPC member Lillian Ball brought up the Town Board's current discussions re: leash law, and how it th pertains to Town Preserves. This will be discussed at the May 14 LPC meeting. Next Regular Meeting: · The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Annex Executive Board Room.
