Subject: SS Sandy Vegetative Debris Inter Municipal Agreement with the Town of Brookhaven
PRIVILEGED AND CONFIDENTIAL
INTER-OFFICE/INTRA-AGENCY COMMUNICATION
NOT SUBJECT TO FOIL DISCLOSURE
Hello:
After approval by FEMA & NYS OEM, the Town of Brookhaven has provided a template Inter-Municipal
Agreement that will ensure that the federal share of tipping fees associated with other municipalities SS
Sandy Debris Operations at the Brookhaven Landfill will be reimbursed directly to Brookhaven from
FEMA.
Potential out of pocket cost savings to any Town or Village that used the Brookhaven Landfill can be very
significant.
If your municipality used the Landfill for Vegetative Debris Operations, please note the attachment and
contact George Kalamaras at the e-mail address listed above.
Thanks.
