To Whom It May Concern:
We have reviewed the existing decks at the referenced property and hereby certify that the
decks as constructed are in compliance with the applicable provisions of the 2006 and 2010
New York State Residential Codes.
Specifically the decks at the front and rear of the house are constructed of materials that are
treated to resist moisture, rot and mildew, with metal components of hot-dip galvanized steel
including all fasteners and bolts. The footings for the support posts are of 3,500 psi concrete
and the deck is designed to comply with NYSRC requirements for loading as if the decks were
enclosed residential floor and in compliance with the NYS Residential Code requirement of
40psf live load for drifting snow.
