Community Service Forum: Bob and Phillip reported that the
community service initiative has garnered significant support from
over 25 organizations seeking volunteers. The major task ahead is
getting residents to attend and volunteer at the forum. Phillip
proposed three strategies; the advertisement in Suffolk Times and
website, soliciting Peconic Landing residents and placing an ad with
WLNG with Supervisor Russell announcing the volunteer recruitment
event. WLNG offered to match the Town's efforts with free ad spots
for paid spots. $250 will provide about 50 spots. All were in favor to
spend funding towards radio advertisement.
Youth Job Fair: Still waiting for additional support for this initiative to
proceed. Last week Phillip discussed with business organizations
soliciting their support. He will later whether to proceed or not.
Other: East Hampton Health Care Center has contracted with South
Oaks Child and Adolescent Center to provide adolescent mental

services for youth and that such partnerships could benefit the Town
