Jeffrey Patanjo on behalf of JOSEPH O. BRUSCO requests a Wetland Permit to remove and replace
130 linear feet of existing bulkhead with vinyl bulkhead; raise bulkhead top cap elevation 4' above
existing; import 130 cubic yards of clean sand fill behind bulkhead; plant disturbed bluff with beach
grass; remove and re-install existing timber walkway and stairs in original location and dimensions.

The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Water[rent Consistency Review of the Town of
Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards.
Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this
department, as well as the records available to me; the proposed action to remove and replace 130
linear feet of existing bulkhead with vinyl bulkhead; raise bulkhead top cap elevation 4' above
existing; import 130 cubic yards of clean sand fill behind bulkhead; plant disturbed bluffwith
beach grass are CONSISTENT with the LWRP.
Further, it is my recommendation that proposal to remove and re-install existing timber walkway
and stairs in original location and dimensions is INCONSISTENT with the below listed LWRP
policy.
6.3 Protect and restore tidal and freshwater wetlands.
Comply with statutory and regulatory requirements of the Southold Town Board of
Trustees laws and regulations for all Andros Patent and other lands under their
jurisdiction
Comply with Trustee regulations and recommendations as set forth in Trustee
permit conditions.
_The top platform is not a permissible action pursuant to 275-11 Construction and operation standards,
A (6) AMENDED 2013.
,The top deck is 105 sq. ft., {scaled on the survey) the code section amendment allows up to 100
sq. ft.
§ 275-11. Construction and operation standards.
A. General. The following standards are required for all operations within the jurisdiction of the
Trustees:
(6) Platforms.
(a) Platforms associated with stairs may not be larger than 100 square feet
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its
written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
