LOCAL WATERFRONT REVITALIZATION PROGRAM
TOWN OF SOUTHOLD
MEMORANDUM
To~
Jim King, President
Town of Southold Board of Trustees
From: Mark Terry, Principal Planner
LWRP Coordinator
Date: January 17, 2013
Re;
Proposed Wetland Permit for ROB & CLAIRE RICClO
SCTM#1000-98-6-1
Eugene Burger on behalf of ROB & CLAIRE RICCIO requests a Wetland Permit for the reconstruction
of the storm damaged secondary retaining wall; and the addition of vinyl sheathing to the existing
bulkhead. Located: 6512 Indian Neck Lane, Peconic. SCTM# 98-6-1
The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of
Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards.
Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this
department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the proposal to
reconstruction of the storm damaged secondary retaining wall; and the addition of vinyl sheathing to the
existing bulkhead is CONSISTENT with the Policy Standards and therefore is CONSISTENT with the
LWRP.
It is recommended that the Board clarify if the 290 sq. ft. platform is included within this
proposal as shown on the survey prepared by John C. Ehlers. The platform is oversized.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its
written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action,
Cc: Lori Hulse, Assistant Town Attomey
