Box 1179 Southold, NY 11971 Telephone: 631 765-1938 Fax: 631 765-3136 LOCAL WATERFRONT REVITALIZATION PROGRAM TOWN OF SOUTHOLD MEMORANDUM To: Jim King, President Town of Southold Board of Trustees From: Mark Terry, Principal Planner LWRP CoOrdinator Date: January 17, 2013 .Re: Proposed Wetland Permit for BRICK COVE MARINA, INC SCTM#1000-57-1-38.3 Suffolk Environmental Consulting, Inc. on behalf of BRICK COVE MARINA, INC. requests a Wetland Permit to restore two (2) shoreline areas along the southern section of subject property that experienced severe erosion as a result of Hurricane Sandy; subject areas will be restored by the placement of boulders (2.0 ton +) landward and parallel to the high water mark; the existing concrete rip-rap will be re-configured where necessary in order to make the placement of the boulders optimal; additionally, the area landward of the proposed boulders and the escarpment is to be backfilled using clean fill obtained from an upland source (50 cubic yards :1:); the backfill will be graded & groomed, and planted with Cape Amedcan Beach Grass (Ammophiia breviligulata). Located: 1760 Sage Boulevard, $outhold. SCTM# 57-1-38.3 The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the proposed action is CONSISTENT with the Policy Standards and therefore is CONSISTENT with the LWRP. Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
