a. This application MUST be completely filled ill by typewriter or ill iuk and submitted to tile Building Inspector with 4
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee accordiug to schedule.

c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced befbre issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upou approval of this application, the Bnilding Inspector will issue a Building Permit to tbe applicant. Such a permit
shall be kept omi the pm'emises available for inspection thm'ougbout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in pan for any pnrpose what so ever until the Building Inspector
issues a Certificate of Occupancy.
f. Every building permit shall expire if the work authorized has nol commenced within 12 months after the date of
issuance or has not been completed within 18 months from such date. If no zoning mnendments or other regulations affecting the
property have been enacted in the interim, the Building Inspector may authorize, in writing, the extension of the permit for an
addition six months. Thereafter, a new permit shall be required.

This letter is to certify that upon completion of the proposed renovation the house will have a
maximum total use of four (4) bedrooms,
The existing window in the proposed study meets requirements of the 2010 NYS Building Code,
per the following:
Section 1026 Emergency Escape and Rescue
1026.2 Minimum size. Emergency escape and rescue openings shall have a minimum net clear
opening of 5.7 square feet (0.53 m2).
The existing window is a double hung window 11.5 sq ft in size; the clear opening of the lower
portion is 5.75 sq feet.
1026.3 Maximum height from floor, Emergency escape and rescue openings shall have the
bottom of the clear opening not greater than 44 inches (1118 mm) measured from the floor.
Existing bottom of opening is 33 inches
1026.4 Operational constraints, Emergency escape and rescue openings shall be operational
from the inside of the room without the use of keys or tools,

1203.4 Natural ventilation. Natural ventilation of an occupied space shall be through
windows, doors, louvers or other openings to the outdoors. The operating mechanism for
such openings shall be provided with ready access so that the openings are readily
controllable by the building occupants.

1205.1 General. Every space intended for human occupancy shall be provided with natural
light by means of exterior glazed openings in accordance with Section 1205.2 or shall be
