236 A regular·meeting of 'the. Board of Southo~d Town TruStees was · 0 held at 7.3 p.m.-, January 2, 1979 .at the Town Hall, Main~ Road, Southold, New York~ Present were: - --- President. Philip G. Horton Trustee Scott Harris Trustee Anna Hataier Trustee John' Nickles Trustee Pa?l Stoutenburgh Peter Campbell, Suffolk Times Trustee Hataier made a motion, seconded by Trustee Stoutenburgh and carried to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of December 5, 1978 with Amendment to change thedate of the next meeting on page 237~to January 2, t97~. A letter is to be written to Mrs. Van Bokkelin telling her to consult with the Town Attorney if she has any confusion regarding the fact that'she cannot put a dock at the end of Rochelle Place, a right-of-way. · On motion made "by Trustee Stoutenburgh, seconded by Trustee Harris, it was RESOLVED to approve the application of Stirling Harbo~ Marina and Shipyard to complete bulkheading on the south marina on north side to eliminate erosion and protect plantings at Stifling Basin. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Horton, Harris, Hataier, Nickles Stoutenburgh The applicant is to be notified that if any dredging is to be done a permit will' be necessary. Trustee Hataier made a motion, seconded by Trustee Harris and carried to approve the mooring renewals for the month of February as listed with the exception of Eugene B. Martens, Jr., who has moved. The clerk was directed to purchase a stamp with the following wording ,'Permits will-be revoked if mooring numbers do not appear on stake or buoy - Southold To~n Trustees"· This is to be put on all mooring renewals and permits. On moulo_ made by Trustee Hataier, seconded by T~stee Harris, it was RESOLVEDto approve the application of George Capon, Jr. to 237 use Town Stake #10 at Stirling Creek. Vote of the Board: Ayes~ Horton, Harris, Hata£er,, Nickles, Stouten~urgh ~ ~ ~ The Matt-a-Mar file was r~viewed~ and Re clerk was' ~irected Go send Mr. Nowak a letter with. an ~pp!ioation directing him to apply for what Work he is going T0 do. The £ee paid f°r ~he original permit is to be checked. ~ Trustee Stoutenbumgn made a mot~0n, seconde~ by Trustee Hata~er and carried to ~CCept the chedk in th~ amour~t of $188,.00 from Mr. Baldwin Humm, in payment for permit f.o~ 88 feet t© buikheading at his ~rope,~Y. at Gull iPond and Fordham Canal, 1 .. There wasa review of the application to the Dept~. of Environmental Conservation by M~ RaYmond Pluschau for proper~y located at Hallock's Bay.. Mr~Pluschau is to be sent~ anapplication for submission to the B~ardof .Town T~ustees. TheDEC has ~t.ated in its negative declaration that there iS no marsh locatedwithin the work'area, The DEC is to be written informing them that the TownTrustees donor agree with their findings. Besides our application if wetlands are involvedI application must be~made to the Town Board. Letters are to be written %ztn copies to the Town Board. ~ A 'letter was received from James' H. Rambo, Inc.1 regarding' ~ '1 proposed dredging and replacemen~ of rotted pm es at '!Pleck" property at Stifling Creek. It was the agreement 'of a]_l the ~trustees that this is in the jurisdiction of the Village of Green- port and not the Town of Southold. A letter will be written to James H~ Rambo, Inc, .informing them. ~ i' " ' A gentleman named Mr. Walker had been in the office inquirinE about the dredging of BrushesCreek~ Trustee Hataier reported that Mr. Mart0cchia had ar~0unced a~ the To~m Board meetLng that he wanted imputregarding pri0rityin dredging the creeks and any additional creeks to be dredged,~ Trustee Nickles· will check with the Dept~ of Public Works andSuper~isor Mart0cchia.. ~ ~ Letters were receive~ from the Wortis family regarding the property at the foot of SOuth Harbor Road, Southold, at Richmond Creek; 238 The next meeting of the Board of Town Trustees wilI be held February 6, 1979. . ~-~ ~ There being no further business to come before the Board, Trustee Hataier made a motion, seconded by Trustee Harris and carried to adjourn the meeting.
