Box 1179 Southold, NY 11971 Re: C. Bair Property Situate: 120 Bay Home Road,Southold,NY SUM#: 1000—56—5—13 Dear Mr. Bredemeyer, This firm represents Christian Baiz who applied for and received a wetland permit from your Board authorizing, among other things, construction of a bulkhead and retaining"wall at the premises referenced above. These structures were made necessary as a result of damages incurred from Hurricane Sandy.Trustee Wetland Permit No.8025 provides for a 24 month period to act which has been extended to January 23, 2017.Although under normal circumstances, the estimated time to complete the work involved is adequate, in this instance, funding provided by the SBA has been delayed due to bureaucratic processes beyond the control of the property owner. These processes have now been completed and the property owner is ready to proceed. The in-force permit under item#2 of Terms and Conditions authorizes your Board to extend the life of the permit. By way of this correspondence and on behalf of the property owner, I request the permit be extended for an additional year. The permit would now expire January 23,2018. In addition, Mr. Baiz, was able to complete the bulkhead work at the southern corner of the property. Its completion enables sensible amendment to project design to permit a 15-foot return off the northerly edge of the bulkhead back to the authorized retaining wall along with the elimination of 41 linear feet of retaining wall previously authorized landward of the bulkhead. Accordingly, amendment to the existing permit permitting a 15-foot bulkhead return and the elimination of 41 linear feet of retaining wall is hereby requested. Enclosed herewith please find two sets of the site plan and project plans prepared by this office last dated December 22, 2016 along with a check made payable to the Town of Southold in the amount of $50.00 in satisfaction of the permit amendment fee. Kindly process our request to extend and amend the in-force permit.Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation.
