A duplicate of this permit must be continuously posted during the event. This permit is granted as applied for, based on information supplied in the application. There are several conditions written into the permit. Please be aware that under the State Fire Code, the number of persons occupying the building and/or tent area is limited. The use of a tent will require an application and approvals at least three days before the event, from the Building Department. A Town Building Inspector must inspect the tent, before occupancy, they can be reached at 765-1802 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. This permit does not authorize parking on Suffolk County Right of Way located in front of the property or any lands owned by County of Suffolk, Town of Southold or Peconic Land Trust. All parking and traffic conlrols are the responsibilities of the winery owner, the event operators, and their agents. (To calculate the square footage multiply the length times the width of the proposed parking area; to determine how many cars will fit in that area divide by 300. (Allowing 300 sq. ft. per car includes room for 20 fL wide aisles between rows of cars). NOTE: If you cannot accommodate the number of cars expected at the event on site, you must attach a written explanation of how the overflow parking will be handled, e.g. shuttle service fi.om another location, etc. 3. Each addi'tional day will require a separate permit application, fee, and related documents for review, etc. at least 30 business days prior to the scheduled event. 7. Adequate temporary sanitary facilities must be provided by applicant for this event and applicant agrees to remove the temporary facilities from the premises within 48 hours after the day of the event. 8. On-site food preparation is NOT permitted, although food may be catered subject to all Suffolk County Department of Health regulations. 9. NO activities associated with this event, including but not limited to parking, ingress/egress/access, tent(s) or temporary structure(s), or temporary sanitary facilities, shall be conducted on Town of Southold Purchase of Development Rights land. !0. Access shall be provided for emergency vehicles, to all public assembly areas, ail buildings, all work areas and any additional area where emergencies may occur. Two emergency-fire exits and exit paths from the building(s) on the property, to a public way or remote safe area, shall remain open and unobstructed at all times. 13. Music, when outdoors, is required to stop at the time specified in the permit. Placement of the speakers must be approved by the winery management in a Iocation that affords the greatest protection from noise intrusion upon adjacent properties. 14. Where possible, live bands rather than disc jockeys will be encouraged. When disc jockeys are used, the decibel levels will be monitored to ensure acceptable levels. 15. Organizers of the events will be required to use an approved disc jockey recommended by the winery or have their own disc jockey sign a contract agreeing to the above. If they do not honor the contract, the winery will have the right to remove the disc jockey from the premises. 16. Owner assures that all fire, safety, building, and other laws will be complied with. 17. Under the Lenz tent, over 60 different merlots from around the globe ore available for people to taste. In addition to local winery participation, additional tables are set up to offer samplings of merlots from other well-known and lesser-known wine regions like France, California, Australia, Romania, Israel, Greece, etc. A raffle in support of the East End Chapter of Slow Food is also held throughout the evening.
