Dear Mr. Damianos:
Enclosed is the Special Permit for the winery event planned for September 22, 2012
(Harvest Festival). A duplicate of this permit must be continuously posted during the event. This
permit is granted as applied for, based on information supplied in the application.
There are several conditions written into the permit. Please be aware that under the State
Fire Code, the number of persons occupying the building and/or tent ama is limited, The use ora
tent will require an application and approval~ at least three days before the event, from the
Building Department. A Town Building Inspector must inspect the tent, before occupancy, they
can be reached at 765-1802 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
This permit does not authorize parking on Suffolk County Right of Way located in front
of the property or any lands owned by County of Suffolk, Town of Southold or Peconic Land
Trust. All parking and traffic controls are the responsibilities of the winery owner, the event
operators, and their agents. Note that parking ou any County or State Roads are not authorized
under this pe[mit. Any violations of this permit can be cause for revocation.

11. Issuance of this permit does not authorize in any manner occupancy of the principal building exceeding the
legal limitations under the fire code or other codes which would prohibit sach increased occupancy.
12. Access shall be provided for emergency vehicles, to all public assembly areas, all buildings, all work areas and
any additional area where emergencies may occur. Two emergency-fire exits and exit paths from the building(s) on
the property, to a public way or remote safe area, shall remain open and unobstructed at all times.
13. Music, when outdoors, is required to stop at the time specified in the permit. Placement of the speakers must be
approved by the winery management in a location that affords the greatest protection from noise intrusion npon
adjacent properties.
14. Where possible, live bands rather than disc jockeys will be cncouraged. When disc .jockeys are used, the
decibel levels will be monitored to ensure acceptable levels.
15. Organizers of the events will be required to use an approved disc .jockey recommended by Ihe winery or have
their own disc jockey sign a contract agreeing to the above. If they do not honor the contract, the winery will have
the right to remove the disc .jockey from the premises.
16. Owner assures that all fire, safety, building, and other laws will be complied with.

Attached please find copies of the Zoning Board of Appeals "Outdoor Special Events At
Wineries" application with supporting documents for the Annual Pindar Harvest Festival.
Pindar's Annual Harvest Festival has been held for 27 years and celebrates the upcoming harvest.
There will be music, face painting for the children, food will be served by the Greek Island
Restaurant and wine and soda will be available for purchase. This year, a portion of the event
proceeds will go to benefit the North Fork Animal Welfare League.

Security and parking services will be provided by Platinum & Executive
Security of Mattituck, NY (631.300.8745) ,, , ~.
PARKING
Parking attendants will provide assistance with:
· Directing guests to the appropriate parking areas, through the appropriate
entrance and exit.
· Set-up of initial parking rows to ensure guests can easily and safely
navigate their wa,/OUT from the location.
· Establish and keep clear an emergency access lane with direct access to
event site. A
· ASsist security with monitoring of guest activity.
· Parking attendants will be in constant contact with security staff and event
coordinator through portable radio system.

SECURITY
Security will monitor the event entrance and event site to assist Pindar staff with
compliance with.NYS Alcoholic Beverage consumption laws, including age
requirements (21+) for alcohol c~onsumption. Steps that will be taken to prevent
underage consumption include:.
· Identification checks - Guests will be instructed to have their IDS out and
ready for inspection.
· Bag checks - Guests will atso be instructed to have their bags ready for
inspection.
· Wristbands - Each guest will have a wristband placed on them indicating
their status as either under-age/of age. Wristbands are color-coded in~,n,,.
easily identifiable, bright/neon color.
· Event site monitoring - Security will monitor event site constantly surveying
wristbands of guests consuming alcoholic beverages.
· Beverage table procedures - Guests will only be a,ble,to purchase alcoholic
beverage one at a time, and for themselves only. Security will monitor this
as well. Event pouring staff have previous experience as wine pourers, and
are additionally instructed that they can ID a guest a second time if they
have concerns about their age status.
Security will additionally monitor event site for any misconduct by event guests.
Security will be in constant contact with their staff, parking attendants and event
coordinator through a portable radio system.

Wineries" application with supporting documents for the Annual Pindar Harvest Festival.
Pindar's Annual Harvest Festival has been held for 27 years and celebrates the upcoming harvest.
Them will be music, face painting for the children, food will be served by the Greek Island
Restaurant and wine and soda will be available for purchase. This year, a portion of the event
proceeds will go to benefit the North Fork Animal Welfare League.

Parking attendants will provide assistance with: , ,.
· Directing guests to the appropriate parking areas, through the appropriate
entrance and exit.
· Set-up of initial parking rows to ensure guests can easily and safely
navigate their wa,/OUT from the location.
· Establish and keep clear an emergency access lane with direct access to
event site.
· Assist security with monitoring of guest activity.

SECURITY
Security will monitor the event entrance and event site to assist Pindar staff with
compliance with-NYS Alcoholic Beverage consumption laws, including age
requirements (21+) for alcohol Consumption. Steps that will be taken to prevent
underage consumption include:
· Identification checks - Guests will be instructed to have their IDS out and
ready for inspection.
· Bag checks - Guests will also be instructed to have their bags ready for
inspection.
· Wristbands - Each guest will have a wristband placed on them indicating
their status as either under-age/of age. Wristbands are color-coded in~,n,,.
easily identifiable, bright/neon color. ~ ~
· Event site monitoring - Security will monitor event site constantly surveying
wristbands of guests consuming alcoholic beverages.
· Beverage table procedures - Guests will only be able to purchase alcoholic
beverage one at a time, and for themselves only. ~e~urity will monitor this
as well. Event pouring staff have previous experience as wine pourers, and
are additionally instructed that they can ID a guest a second time if they
have concerns about their age status.
Security will additionally monitor event site for any misconduct by event guests.
Security will be in constant contact with their staff, parking attendants and event
coordinator through a portable radio system.
