The Town of Southold is a stakeholder in the Greater Long Island Clean Cities Coalition and as such has committed to promoting the use of alternate fuels where possible. Bid prices will be evaluated individually, i.e., the price for standard diesel fuel will be evaluated without regard to a bidder's price for B-20, and vice-versa. This means that them may be two (2) winning bidders, one for standard diesel and one for B-20. Biddem are NOT required to submit prices for both grades, but are encouraged to do so if possible. Should bids for each grade be accepted, THE TOWN ~1, KES NO REPRESENTATION AS TO HOW MUCH OF EACH GRADE WILL BE CONSUMED during the contract year. In submitting bids, the bid prices shall be based upon Northville Refining Rack price to which has been added the delivery cost per gallon. The successful bidder will be required to make deliveries to the town within four (4) hours of a request for a delivery from any town official and such bidder will be required to make deliveries on any day of the week including holidays and shall make deliveries in such quantities of 250 gallons or more, as may be required. Routine deliveries to the Highway Department must be made between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. No deliveries are to be made to the Highway Department on weekends or holidays unless an emergency call is made. Deliveries are to be made to the Highway Department and Collection/Disposal Area as and when required. Prices are sought for the following Diesel Fuel Grades: · Standard Diesel Fuel · B-20 Bio-diesel blend This solicitation is intended to provide the Town with the option for using the cleaner-burning B-20 fuel, in an effort to reduce particulate emissions from Town vehicles and reduce reliance on imported fuel sources. The Town of Southold is a stakeholder in the Greater Long Island Clean Cities Coalition and as such has committed to promoting the use of alternate fuels where possible. Bid prices will be evaluated individually, i.e., the price for standard diesel fuel will be evaluated without regard to a bidder's price for B-20, and vice-versa. This means that there may be two (2) winning bidders, one for standard diesel and one for B-20. Bidders are NOT required to submit prices for both grades, but are encouraged to do so if possible. Should bids for each grade be accepted, THE TOWN MAKES NO REPRESENTATION AS TO HOW MUCH OF EACH GRADE WILL BE CONSUMED during the contract year. In submitting bids, the bid prices shall be based upon Northville Refining Rack price to which has been added the delivery cost per gallon. The aforementioned Northville Consumer Rake price is published daily. Vendor receiving the award must check tanks twice weekly and fill as necessary. The successful bidder will be required to make deliveries to the town within four (4) hours of a request for a delivery from any town official and such bidder will be required to make deliveries on any day of the week including holidays and shall make deliveries in such quantities of 250 gallons or more, as may be required. Routine deliveries to the Highway Department must be made between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. No deliveries are to be made to the Highway Department on weekends or holidays unless an emergency call is made. Routine deliveries to the Collection Center/Disposal Area must be made between the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Sunday. No deliveries are to be made to the Collection Center/Disposal Area on holidays unless an emergency call is made. All fuel tickets for deliveries to the Town must be signed by a Town Employee. Vendor receiving award must supply service for any and all repairs or replacements on town owned pumps within four (4) hours.
