It is understood that the actual removal of the old tires from the rims, and mounting of the new tires on the rims will take place at a location determined by the vendor. Submission of a check in the amount of $100.00 is NOT required to be included with this bid. December 2012 Town of Southold Solid Waste Management District (SWMD) Tires The tires discussed and described below are for a 2008 Volvo L 120 Front End loader owned by the Southold Town Solid Waste Management Dis~'ict. The existing tires on the loader are foam-filled. The Town seeks bids to replace all four tires with pneumatic radial tires. The Volvo is located at the Southold Town Transfer Station, 6155 Cox Lane, Cutchogue, NY 11935; tel: 631-734-7685, and may be viewed during the hours of 7 am- 5pm Monday - Friday. FOR FOUR (4) NEW TIRES: · Tires must be those of a major manufacturer (e.g., Michelin, Firestone, Bridgestone, Goodyear, etc.) and must be demonstrated to be in common successful use in similar applications as the front-end loader mentioned herein, i.e. in difficult, abrasive conditions such as found in a solid waste transfer station environment. · TIRE SIZE: 23.5R25 · T1RE WIDTH: 23.5 in. · OVERALL DIAMETER: 65 in. · STATIC LOADED RADIUS: 29 in. · TREAD DEPTH: 98/32 in. · CONSTRUCTION: Radial · TRA: L5 · Additional: Existing tires to be cut-offand removed from rims.
