INSTRUCTIONS
a. This application MUST be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector with 4
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets or
areas, and waterways.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such a permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose what so ever until the Building Inspector
issues a Certificate of Occupancy.
f. Every building permit shall expire if the work authorized has not commenced within 12 months after the date of
issuance or has not been completed within 18 months from such date. If no zoning amendments or other regulations affecting the
property have been enacted in the interim, the Building Inspector may authorize, in writing, the extension of the permit for an
addition six months. Thereafter, a new permit shall be required.

Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, and other applicable Laws, Ordinances or
Regulations, for the construction of buildings, additions, or alterations or for removal or demolition as herein described. The

Project Description: To remove existing 16'x21' frame building.
Findings: The project meets all the requirements for issuance of an
Administrative Permit set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code. The
issuance of an Administrative Permit allows for the operations as indicated on the
site plan prepared by Raymond Nemschick, R.A., last dated on October 10, 2012,
and stamped approved on November 14, 2012.
Special Conditions: None
Inspections: Final Inspection.
If the proposed activities do not meet the requirements for issuance of an
Administrative Permit set forth in Chapter 275 of the SOuthold Town Code, a
Wetland Permit will be required.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

Dear Ms. Byers:
Based on the information you have submitted, the New York State Department of Environmental
Conservation has determined that:
The portion of the referenced property which is located landward of a functional and substantial
man-made structure (a bulkhead) greater than 100' in length, constructed prior to 8120/77 as
evidenced on NYSDEC's Tidal Wetlands Aerial Photomap #714-540 and aa shown on the survey
last revised by John C. Ehlers on January 4, 2011, is beyond the jurisdiction of Article 25 (Tidal
Wetlands).
Therefore, in accordance with the current Tidal Wetlands Land Use Regulations (6NYCRR Part 661) no
permit is required under the Tidal Wetlands Act. Please be advised, however, that no construction,
sedimentation, or disturbance of any kind may take place seaward of the tidal wetlands jurisdictional
boundary, as indicated above, without a permit. It is your responsibility to ensure.that all necessary
precautions are taken to prevent any sedimentation or other alteration or disturbance to the ground
surface or vegetation within Tidal Wetlands jurisdiction which may result from your project. Such
precautions may include maintaining adequate work area between the tidal wetland jurisdictional
boundary and your project (i.e. a 15' to 20' wide construction area) or erecting a temporary fence, barrier,
or hay bale berm.
This letter shall remain valid unless site conditions change.
Please note that this letter does not relieve you of the responsibility of obtaining any necessary permits or
approvals from other agencies or local municipalities.
