· Hurricane Sandy clean up at Laurel Lake, Downs Farm,
Arshamomaque, Arshamomaque Pond, Dam Pond and Mill Road
Preserves and other Town facilities.
· Accepting and distribution deer delivered to the Deer Truck at the
Southold Recreation Center.
· The demolition, debris removal, re-grading and seeding at Manor
Grove had been completed.
· Re-installed 3 benches at New Suffolk Beach that were displaced by
the hurricane.
· Modified the Town Beach and Goldsmith Inlet permits with
NYSDEC to allow the Town to move sand on the beach.
· Attended a meeting with Phillip Beltz and Tanya Palmore from the
North Fork Housing Alliance in reference to the Home Improvement
Program.
· Looked at the debris around and in Marion Lake to assess the
damage.
· Attend several FEMA meetings and worked with Nancy Foote and
Jeff Standish to document and record the hours and damage to
FEMA for reimbursement.
· Attended a meeting with Phillip Beltz in reference to the 2013
Community Development Block Grant Program.
· Winterized the Greenport and Mattituck Information Booths.
· The equipment for the handicapped playground at Tasker Park has
been delivered to the Highway Department and installation is
scheduled for the week of 12/17/12.
· The DPW staff has completed the replaced the fascia on the Southold
Highway Department Barn.
· Attended a meeting with the Chris Talbot, Phillip Beltz, Jeff
Standish, Ken Reeves and the AD and Superintendents of Schools to
discuss the feasibility of shared fields for recreation programs
· Received a bid for stone, as part of the Goldsmith Jetty Armoring
Project and prepared a budget modification to make this a Capital
Project for 2013.
· Replaced all of the windows in the Southold Highway Department
Barn/welding shop that were crack or broken.
· Submitted permit applications to NYSDE, Army Corps, Trustees
and NYSDOS for the 4th Street, New Suffolk and Harbor River Road
(Skippers Lane) repair projects.
· Painted and ordered carpet for Captain Kruszeski's office at the
Police Department.
· Tim Abrams has begun work on the installation of energy efficient
lights at the Human Resource Center, as part of a LIPA grant.
· The installation of a fire suppression system, on the stove at the
Southold Recreation Center has been completed. This project was
funded by a grant to the Human Resource Center for client outreach.
