The Board Members also indicated their concern for the poor condition of the right-of-way and confirmed for the record that the following improvements will be and are necessary pursuant to New York Town Law, Section 280-a, and the Board's decision under Appl. No. 3184 concerning access to this property: Ail potholes and depressions shall be filled with medium-size gravel (mixed with sand) for the entire length and existing width. In reviewing the file, it was noted that notice has not been given to the owners of record for the right-of-way. We are enclosing a blank neighbor notice form which should be completed and sent by certified mail, with the survey or sketch, to the owners of record for the subject right-of-way, premises identified as County Tax Map #1000-112-1-21. I spoke by telephone with the office of the Board of Appeals today concern- ing my request to have this matter further adjourned to the hearing date of May 18, 1989. I am in the process of obtaining additional information concerning the history of the property, as well as retaining the services of a real estate appraiser to testify on behalf of the applicant. It was indicated to me that it would not be necessary to appear on Thursday evening in order to obtain the adjournment. Maitrejean Sound Ave. Box 888 Mattituck, N.Y. 11952 February 13, 1989 Zonin~ Board of Appeals Town of Southold, N. Y. Appeal ~3913 Dear Sirs, In the this appeal case of Mountain Home Builders Inc., I feel should be denied for the reasons listed below. ]- The property line has been cleared of trees, thus making the house morevisible. Bringing the house 10 feet closer to our line will increase this visibility and lower ehe value of my home. I do not believe the variance should be given. However, if ~t is, it should be on the west side. The trees were left in place and the De Graff house is a much greater distance from the proposed house. We would appreciate a postponement of this appeal until April, if possible, as we are out of State for health reasons. Any April date other than April 12th would be satisfactory. Respectfully yours, Philippe L. Maitrejean J. GARRETT DE GRAFF 163 ETON PLACE WEST HEMPSTEAD, NEW YORK 11552 December 26, 1988 Board of Appeals Town of Southold Southold, New York Dear Sir: 11971 Re: Zoning Variance 1000, Sec 112, Lot 01, Block 12 As a neighbor of the subject property I am in opposition to the relief sought by petitioner Barterama Corp. In developing this property the proposed building and driveway need not exceed the already fair and legal building envelope. Were a variance granted my property values would be diminished. I would feel unnecessarily crowded and infringed upon, and would be giving up irreplaceable space and quiet to a driveway. ~'. Appeal ~3913 Dear Sirs, In the case of Mountain Home Builders Inc., I feel this appeal should be denied for the reasons listed below. 1 - ~he property line has been cleared of trees, thus making the house morevisible. Bringing the house 10 feet closer to our line will increase this visibility and lower the value of my home. 3 - I do not believe the variance should be given. However, if it is, it should be on the west side. The trees were left in place and the De Grail house is a much greater .distance from the proposed house. We would appreciate a postponement of this appeal until April, if possible, as we are out of S~ate for health reasons. Any April date other than April 12th would be satisfactory.
