DEARTMENT HEAD MEETING: was held on Monday, October 15 at town hall. Topics
covered included the 2013 budget forecast for town services and programs, the upcoming
budget forum, the town's new website, energy policy, business issues, an update on Kronos,
updates on training, surveys, and the mandatory fire drill.
BUDGET MEETING: was held on Tuesday, October 16 at town hall with the town board.
The submitted budget was gone over in detail for the upcoming year.
FIRE DRILL: A fire drill was conducted on Tuesday, October 16 at the recreation center.
Two staff members and eight facility users were present for the drill. Everything went well
and we evacuated the building in less than two minutes. A report on this drill was sent to
Phillip Beltz.
HURRICANE SANDY: arrived on Monday, October 28 and wreaked havoc throughout
the North Fork. The recreation center was without power for two days and without phones
and the internet for four days. All town offices were closed on Monday & Tuesday.
Respectfully Submitted,
