Box 1179 Southold, New York 11971 Fax (516) 765-1823 Telephone (516) 765-1800 LAND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING MONDAY, JANUARY 8, 2001 at 7:30 PM MINUTES Present were: Dick Ryan, Reed Jarvis, Ray Blum, Fred Lee, Bill Edwards, Joe Krukowski, Ray Huntington, Melissa Spiro, Brian Murphy and Marian Sumner. The Committee members introduced themselves and gave some of their background to the new members. The Committee discussed the application received from Frank & John Svec 97-2-9. I. There is quite a bit of wetland, about 2 acres. This property is not on any of our lists. Melissa will contact him to see what he wants to do. Boyle inquiry - this parcel has access on Main Road. He wants to do a limited subdivision of possibly 4 lots. tte will sell the development rights on the remainder of the acreage. A Richard Sachs spoke to Melissa.-~e: property on Soundview Avenue in Mattituck that he is interested in purchasing. Melissa will keep in contact with him. Old Applications - Cullinane - 19-1-1.2 - She is doing a subdivision at the same time she is selling the development rights. Manor Grove - 53-1-1.2 - The Committee will discuss this appraisal in executive session. Hubbard - these parcels closed on December 21, 2000. Neuer/Sutermeister - 56-1-6 - closed on December 20, 2000. -2- Doroski - 69-1-9 - They are taking out 6 acres. Applicant wants to close in early 2001. Blum - 75-5-1 - This will be discussed in executive session without Mr. Blum being present. Simon - 86-1-10.9 - They wish to sell the entire parcel. The Peconic Land Trust is working with them. Schreiber - 95-1-4 - Offer accepted. Had made application to Planning Board. Publi¢~ hearing will be scheduled soon. Starkle - 96-3-2 - Public Hearing was held on January 3, 2001. Town Attorney is processing. Goerler - 96-3-4.1 - Applicant working on subdivision. The Town Attorney is awaiting applicant's attorney regarding closing date. Jenkins - 102-2-2.3 - Town Attorney is processing. Should be ready to close in January. Melissa discussed this survey with Committee. Scott - 102-2-23 - Public hearing held on January 3, 2001. Town Attorney will process. J & C Sidor - 107-10-6 - Awaiting subdivision approval. Pollio - 108-1-1.1 - Greenways 70/30 project. County made offer and is awaiting response. Elak - 115-8-3.1 - There has been a verbal acceptance of offer. Acceptance letter has not been returned. Joe Krukowski will contact them. McGunnigle - 106-6-14 - They would like to have a copy of the appraisal after contract is signed. Melissa said it has been brought to her attention that there is an encroachment on this property. They will have to eliminate the encroachment or carve that area out of the deal. The Committee went into Executive Session at 9:20 to discuss Manor Grove and Blum parcels. Mr. Blum excused himself from the Executive Session. The next meeting of the Land Preservation Committee is scheduled for Monday, January 22, 2001.
