LAND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETINGA ....
MONDAY, JANUARY 22, 2001 AT 7:30 P.M.
MIHUTES
Present were:
Dick Ryan, Ray Huntington, Joe Krukowski, Fred Lee,
Ray Blum, Bill Edwards, Reed Jarvis, Melissa Spiro and
Tim Caufield.
The Committee accepted the Minutes of the January 8th meeting as read.
The Peconic Land Trust received a call from Betty Rose, wino lives next
to John Tuthill. they own 3 lots on the beach and underwater land in
Dam Pond. (22-3-23.2 & 33 & 34) She is wondering about a fee title
gift to the Town. They would like to make the gift this year. They
have hired an appraiser. The Town owns the adjacent land.
Applications:
Manor Grove- 53-1-1.2 - This will be discussed in Executive Session.
Starkie - 96-3-2 - Contract went out on January 19th. Survey does
not describe the reserved area. Melissa will meet with Mr. Starkie
on Wednesday to discuss the reserved area.
Scott - 102-2-23 - Contract went out. Received survey of property.
It did not show development rights area. Metzger is revising. Contract
is in their attorney's office.
McGunnir, lle - 106-6-14 - Dick reviewed with Town Board on January 16th.
Letter sent to I~er attorney for endorsement of offer for his client.
Elak - 115-8-3.1 - Joe Krukowski said they are awaiting the return of
their son from Florida to discuss this with him: It is put on hold for now.

Auricchio - 56-4-16 - Joe Krukowski will contact him about his
application.
Svec- 97-2-9.1 - Owner recently got out of hospital. He sa~d he
would contact Melissa, when he was interested in pursuing.
Boyle - 18-2-33 & 34 - Property owner has been invited to LPC meeting.
Tim Caufield met with Tony Pirrera and Jim Burke regarding the property
where the strawberry festival is held. The County will purchase the
property and the Town would develop it.
Meliss Spiro discussed with the Committee the list of properties she received
from the County. She also said she would like to set up field inspections
and asked if any of the members would like to join her. Several members
will go.
At 9:20 the Committee went into Executive Session to discuss the Manor
Grove appraisal.
The next meeting of the Land Preservation Committee is scheduled for
Monday, February 5, 2001.
Witl~ no further business to be discussed, the meeting was adjourned at
9:45 p.m.
