LAND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING

MINUTES
Present were: Dick Ryan, Joe Krukowski, Bill Edwards, Ray Huntington,
Ray Blum, Fred Lee, Melissa Spiro and Marian Sumner.
Dick tl~ank~rl Ray Huntington for taking the Minutes at the last meeting.
Melissa reviewed the general status of the active applications with the
Committee:
Manor Grove- 53-1-1.2 - Melissa will ask Judge Tedeschi to meet with
her, Dick and the appraiser and then have it re-appraised because of
the 2 acre piece with a house on it. Melissa will contact the judge and
make the arrangements.
Aurichio - 56-4-16 - Have not received appraisal as yet.
Blum- 75-5-1 - Ray's attorney has contacted the Town Attorney re:
some sentences in the contract.
Starkie - 96-3-2 - He has signed the contract subject to a survey.
Scott - Closed about 10 days ago.
McGunnic~le - 106-6-14 - Public hearing was held on 3/13/01. Town Board
held over decision on acquisition until next meeting on 3/27/01. Melissa
and Dick will speak to Town Board at this meeting.
Sidor - 107-10-6 - Melissa spoke to Gail Wickham's office. They will be
getting Health Department approval.
Elak - Melissa, Dick & Joe Krukowski met with Mr. Elak's son. They
want to figure out their options. Their concern is where to put the
4 acres on the Main Road for a winery. Also, they want to see what
happens to the neighboring farm.
Boyle - 18-2-33 & 34 - Owner's attorney to review proposed use with County.
Mary Bess Philips- 18-6-5 - She is meeting with Melissa on Thursday.
(Custer Property) - 70-8-1 - An inquiry was received from ~on~than
Mudd re: leasing the property.
Marian Sumner of the Peconic Land Trust gave a report to the Committee
on the following:
Schreiber - 95-1-4 - Contract will be going out by Friday.
Neamonita~-i~ - 31-6-28.1 - County has made offer.
McFeele¥ - 125-1-14 - County authorized COP completedw appraisal underway.
The Committee had some questions regar~ding the § acre zoning; however,
they want to wait until the study is completed.
Melissa reviewed the Financial Report with the Committee and also updated
list of parcels sold for Open Space and Agricultural Development Rights.
The Agricultural Advisory Committee will be meeting on Wednesday, March 28th
at 7:00 p.m.
The next meeting of the Land Preservation Committee is scheduled for Monday,
April 9, 2001 at 7:30 p.m.
With no further business to be discussed, the meeting was adjourned at
9:30 p.m.
