MINUTES
Present were:
Dick Ryan, Joe Krukowski, Bill Edwards, Ray Huntington,
Reed Jarvis, Ray Blum, Fred Lee, Melissa Spiro, Brian
Murphy and Tim Caufield.
Melissa discussed the inquiry that was received from the Southold Shores
Association regarding wetlands in Southold Shores and surrounding areas.
Peter Schembri has also contacted Melissa re: lots that he is the contract-
vendee and which are owned by Harold Reese. Melissa checked out these
lots and said that they indeed were wet. The Con~.iittee felt' the only way
they would consider these lots would be through a gift. The Committee will
look at these lots when they check out Judge Tedeschi's property.
The Ag and Markets award for Southold Town will be $600.000. Melissa
will follow up on this.
Aurichio Property - 56-4-16 - The appraisal was received today and copies
were given to the members to review for next meeting. Mr. Aurichio is
looking for a survey map.
Manor Grove - 53-1-1.2 - Meeting is scheduled with applicant and appraiser
for Thursday April 12th at 10:00 a.m.
Starkie - 96-3-2 - Have executed contract. The Committee reviewed the
survey map.

County Applications -
Boyle - 18-2-33 & 34 - Was on agenda at March 27th County Farmland
meeting. It is now on County list.
Mary Bess Philips - 18-6-5 - Owner met with Melissa on March 29th re:
possible sale of development rights.
Kortsolakis - 31-3-12 - County offer accepted.
Dick Spoke to the Committee about the letter received from Jean Cochran
dated March 28, 2001 re: 5 acre zoning. Melissa showed the Committee
a zoning map and then discussed it with the Committee with a chart
that she prepared. Dick suggested that we formulate a letter to Supervisor
Cochran in response to her letter. The Committee gave Melissa some
suggestions and she will write the letter.
The next meeting of the Land Preservation Committee is scheduled for
Monday, April 23, 2001 at 7:30 p.m.
With no further business to be conducted, the meeting was adjourned at
10:15 p.m.
