Located: 2700 Sound Dr., Greenport. SCTM#33-1-11 The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the action is INCONSISTENT with the LWRP. The lot was created in the Map of Section Four Eastern Shores at Greenport filed March 7, 1966 which established a common private beach access at the end of Sound Drive for the benefits of the lot owners. The beach access is 650' to the west of the subJect parcel and therefore access to the beach Is currently available. 9. 5 Provide access and recreation that is compatible with natural resource values. Provide appropriate access and associated recreational activity that will avoid potential adverse impacts on natural resources. Use the following factors in determining the potential for adverse environmental effects: 3. Sensitivity of the natural resoumes involved and the extent of the ecological benefits associated with avoidance of the area. Avoidance of further disturbance of this sensitive bluff ecosystem should be considered in context of the existing access available to the lot owners. Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action. Enc.
