HANLEY, JR. SCTM#1000-1-2-4 J.M.O. Environmental Consulting on behalf of WILLIAM L. HANLEY, JR. requests a Wetland Permit and Coastal Erosion Permit to restore a damaged shoreline in various on site locations; install 85' of boulder barrier along the eroded shoreline consisting of 1-2 ton stones placed on top of a 1' deep layer of stone chips on filter fabric, and with a slope of 1:2-1:3; extend the existing concrete seawall 38' and armor the extension with a boulder barrier consisting of 1-2 ton stones placed on top of a 1' deep layer of stone chips on filter fabric, and with a slope of 1:2-1:3. In the eastern portion of the site, install 50' of boulder barrier consisting of 1-2 ton stones placed on top of a 1' deep layer of stone chips on filter fabric, and with a slope of 1:2-1:3; and randomly place boulders and stones seaward of the proposed barrier. In the northwestern portion of the site install 35' of boulder barrier consisting of 1-2 ton stones placed on top of a 1' deep layer of stone chips on filter fabric, and with a slope of 1:2-1:3. Along the northem portion armor/re-armor the existing concrete seawall by randomly placing 1-2 boulders and stones in the voids of the existing armoring. Located: East End Rd., Fishers Island. SCTM#1-2-4 The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the proposed action is CONSISTENT with the Policy Standards and therefore is CONSISTENT with the LWRP. Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
