LAND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING
MONDAY, JUNE 18, 2001 0 7:30 P.M.
MINUTES
Present were:
Dick Ryan, Joe Krukowski, Ray Blum, Bill Edwards,
Ray Huntington, Fred Lee, Reed Jarvis, Melissa Spire
and Marian Sumner.
The Minutes of the June 4, 2001 meeting were accepted as read.
Melissa reviewed the following with the Committee:
Dohert¥ - 9-3-2 - Fishers Island - Peter Burr spoke to Tom Doherty on
June 7th. He is waiting for a field visit from the environmental consultant.
tie expects certificate after field visit. He is still interested in proceeding
with preservation.
Cullinane - 19-1-1.2 - The Land Preservation Committee to review again after
Planning Board grants sketch approval. An appraisal update has been
ordered.
Manor Grove - 53-1-1.2 - Melissa will get back to owner after she speaks
to Town Board tomorrow.
Ernst - 56-1-11.1 & 56-3-13.3 - Melissa received a letter from Ed Ernst
on June 5th stating that they are proceeding with a limited development
combined with the sale of development rights on the farm and open space
acreage. Melissa is awaiting a survey from him.
Aurichio - 56-4-16.- is set for a public hearing at Town Board meeting
on June 19th at 5:00 p.m. Something has to be settled about the
encroachment.

McGunni~lle - 106-6-14 - The contract is being sent back to Mr. Costigan,
attorney for the owner. The attorneys will have to settle the encroachment
and negotiate the price. Dick Ryan suggested that Melissa speak to Mr. Ehlers
about the encroachments.
Schreiber - 95-1-4 - Contract has been sent to applicant's attorney. Applicant
had some questions about parts of contract.
J & C Sidor - 107-10-6 - Closing is scheduled for June 25, 2001.
Marian Sumner said the only new project on the Peconic Land Trust's
list is the Goldsmiths Inlet parcel - 68-2-10. PLT met with Pete Scully at
the site on June 15th.
Melissa distributed a copy of the web site for Land Preservation that Ray
Huntington set up. It was suggested that Melissa add the brochure to the
web site.
~-and Preservation application form - Melissa showed the Committee a draft
of the form she and Ray Huntington had worked on. This will be the
form used in the application packet.
Dick said he dropped off the Ag and Markets grant to Melissa, which is
due September 14, 2001.
The Community Preservation Project plans were adopted in August 1998.
It can be updated after three years. The map shoUld also be updated.
Ray Huntington said he spoke to Barney $idor. At this time, he is
undecided as what to do.
The next meeting of the Land Preservation Committee is scheduled for
Monday, July 2, 2001 at 7:30 p.m.
With no further business to be discussed, the meeting was adjourned
at 10:10 p.m.
