Dick introduced all the attendees.
Ms. Cullinane is a contract-vendee for a piece of property in
Orient. The Committee is interested enough in getting an appraisal
but we would have to see a signed contract. She is working with
the Peconic Land Trust. The present owner does not want to sign
a contract with contingencies. Perhaps, we should deal with the
present owner or both come to the table.
Lou Caracciola ~ The Committee was given a copy of the appraisal
right before the meeting. The sooner a contract is signed, the
sooner we can do business. He will be back in two weeks
Goerler property - the Committee is interested in Mr. Goerler's farm.
Mr. Goerler is looking for a survey of the property. Melissa said
there is a copy of a survey in the Planning Board Office. The sooner
we learn from them exactly what they want to do, the sooner we can
do business. His son will come to the next meeting, if they have any
further information. He will try to get a new survey.
2% tax issues - the Town is awaiting an answer from the State.
Wells property gift - awaiting Town Attorney.
-2-
Brochure - Ray Huntington will go over the brochure with Marian
Sumner of the Peconic Land Trust.
Solicitation letter - Noreen McKenna is working on this letter,
which will be included with the brochure.
Melissa showed the Committee a spread sheet she produced. It is
a working document, which offers a lot of information. Ray has
asked Melissa for some additional information, which John Sepenoski
can print out.
Scenic easements - Dick has sent a letter to Bob Scott in the Assessors
Office regarding scenic easements. Dick spoke about the scenic ease-
ment the Town has in Greenport - Peconic Landing. This easement
is in perpetuity.
Environmental Facilities - Marian Sumner and Jim McMahon will be
meeting with them in Riverhead tomorrow re: monies to help with
drinking water efforts. All the towns are submitting the short forms,
which will be taken back to Albany. Marian will let the Committee
know more at the next meeting.
Goerler Property - Proposal from Given Associates for $1900.00. The
Committee agreed to have Given do the appraisal.
Blue Horizon - Reed said it was a beautiful piece of property. Dick
has written to the owner.
The Committee just received the appraisals on the Sidor and Young
properties. They will look them over and come up with an offer price
for the next meeting.

as yet.
Ernst offer - as yet, nothing has been heardfrom th~m.

2000 at 7:30 p.m.
