Box 1179 Southold, New York 11971-0959 Fax (631) 765-6145 Telephone (631) 765-1800 9outitoMTmm Cimt MINUTES Present were; Dick Ryan, Joe Krukowski, Ray Huntington, Reed Jarvis, Jim Pim, Noreen McKenna, Melissa Spiro, Marian Sunmer, Ms. Cullinane, Mr. Caracciola, Ron Goerler,Sr., Ron Goerler, Jr. and Joey Lane of Suffolk Life. Dick introduced all the attendees. Ms. Cullinane is a contract-vendee for a piece of property in Orient. The Committee is interested enough in getting an appraisal but we would have to see a signed contract. She is working with the Peconic Land Trust. The present owner does not want to sign a contract with contingencies. Perhaps, we should deal with the present owner or both come to the table. Lou Caracciola ~ The Committee was given a copy of the appraisal right before the meeting. The sooner a contract is signed, the sooner we can do business. He will be back in two weeks Goerler property - the Committee is interested in Mr. Goerler's farm. Mr. Goerler is looking for a survey of the property. Melissa said there is a copy of a survey in the Planning Board Office. The sooner we learn from them exactly what they want to do, the sooner we can do business. His son will come to the next meeting, if they have any further information. He will try to get a new survey. 2% tax issues - the Town is awaiting an answer from the State. Wells property gift - awaiting Town Attorney. -2- Brochure - Ray Huntington will go over the brochure with Marian Sumner of the Peconic Land Trust. Solicitation letter - Noreen McKenna is working on this letter, which will be included with the brochure. Melissa showed the Committee a spread sheet she produced. It is a working document, which offers a lot of information. Ray has asked Melissa for some additional information, which John Sepenoski can print out. Scenic easements - Dick has sent a letter to Bob Scott in the Assessors Office regarding scenic easements. Dick spoke about the scenic ease- ment the Town has in Greenport - Peconic Landing. This easement is in perpetuity. Environmental Facilities - Marian Sumner and Jim McMahon will be meeting with them in Riverhead tomorrow re: monies to help with drinking water efforts. All the towns are submitting the short forms, which will be taken back to Albany. Marian will let the Committee know more at the next meeting. Goerler Property - Proposal from Given Associates for $1900.00. The Committee agreed to have Given do the appraisal. Blue Horizon - Reed said it was a beautiful piece of property. Dick has written to the owner. The Committee just received the appraisals on the Sidor and Young properties. They will look them over and come up with an offer price for the next meeting. Schreiber property - nothing has been brought into the Planning Board as yet. Ernst offer - as yet, nothing has been heardfrom th~m. The next meeting of the Committee is scheduled for Monday, March 13, 2000 at 7:30 p.m. With no further business to be conducted, the meeting was adiourned at 9:45 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Secretary
