Box 1179 Southold, New York 11971 Fax (516) 765-1823 Telephone (516) 765-1800 RBOEIV ) MAY ! 0 MINUTES Present were: Dick Ryan, Ray Huntington, Fred Lee, Jim Pim, Joe Krukowski, Brian Murphy Greg Yakaboski, Melissa Spiro and Marian Sumner. Agricultural easements - Bedell, Caracciolo and Lappe are looking for agricultural easements. The development rights are intact on the Lappe property. Perhaps we could get another 8 year extension in the agricultural district. Greg Yakaboski discussed agricultural easements with the Committee. He felt that the Town Board would discuss this at their next work session. John Tuthill easement - the Town Board has accepted Tuthill's easement. It is set for a public hearing on May 9th. Manor Grove application - Arshamomaque property owned by Fred Tedeschi is located at the corner of Albertson Lane and the Main Road. Melissa will put together the aerial for the next meeting. Wells and Zahler property gifts to the Town have been recorded. Goerler and Zazecki (Custer) the public hearings on these properties are set for Tuesday, May 9, 2000. Dick sent out 4 proposals for surveys on the Goerler property. Two of the surveyors did not put in any proposal. Ingegno's proposal was $12,200 and Peconic Surveyors was $6,000. Therefore, the Committee will go with Peconic Surveyors. Ernst application - Melissa Spiro, Dick Ryan and Joe Krukowski met with Ed Ernst. Nothing accomplished at this time. Can't seem to make up their mind. -2- Dick Ryan will meet with Supervisor Cochran on a more regular basis in terms of land preservation business. Melissa Spiro will speak to the Planning Board for their agreement in preserving the Zazecki (Custer) property. Things are inching forward on Land Preservation Coordinator position. County Greenway Partnership - Mellssa hasn't been able to get a straight answer from the County Planning Department, but will keep trying. Brochure - Melissa took the brochure to the printers today. Proposed greenhouse code - Ag and Mrkts. is looking for more information from the Town Attorney. Dick spoke and gave some notes to Valerie S¢opaz on the Water Supply Management and Watershed Protection Strategy. Marian Sumner of the Peconic Land Trust said that Maureen Cullinane is signing the contract on Thursday and has given her the signed letter of acceptance of the offer of development rights. Schreiber property - Mr. Schreiber will be back in the area tomorrow. The next meeting of the Land Preservation Committee is scheduled for Monday, May 15, 2000.
